Weekly Round Up. Week 15.

All the results and goals from the games this weekend.

Weekly Round up for Sunday 12 December 2021. Week 15 and as we approach the winter break the threat of COVID looms again! We have Cup and League fixtures this week and as usual we start with the Cup Competitions and that means The Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 2021-22 - Round 2

Leamington Hibernian 8 (eight) Ettington Rovers 1
Hibs progress into the next round with a comprehensive win here. Jack Marsden and Dave Jones bagging hat-tricks, Connor Carson and Wendel Moyo getting the others. Matt Toms with the Ettington consolation.


Division 3 Cup 2021-22, sponsored by Nick Chambers, in memory of his father Chris - Semi-Final

Leamington Hibernian Reserves 4 Warwick Printing 2
Scott Smith put the Printers ahead after only five minutes here but Hibs Reserves were level seven minutes later, through Charlie Fitzmaurice . Scott Hammond put Hibs ahead just before the break. Adam Edwards struck to make it all square again with twenty minutes to go but the Hibs machine struck twice in the last fifteen minutes to take the tie. Ryan Butler and Hammond with his second sealed the deal. Hibs progress into the Division 3 Cup Final which will be held on Sunday April 10th , 3pm kick off, ground to be confirmed.

We move on to League action and start as usual with Division 1
Blackdown 1 HRI Wellesbourne 5

The Veg boys were on form here as Greg Eales grabbed a hat-trick and Vitor Machado helped himself to a late brace to take the points. Tom Gamblin pulled a Blackdown goal back on ten minutes but it was never going to be enough. The veg boys go Top of the Tree.

Heathcote Athletic 1 Khalsa 2
All three goals coming in an eighteen minute spell. Jake Shattock giving Khalsa the lead after twenty minutes. Barinder Uppal extended the advantage ten minutes later and although John Aston pulled one back eight minutes later Heathcote couldn’t find the equaliser.

We move on to Division 2

AFC Warwick 4 Real Barston 0
A Melvinino Mauritson hat-trick did the damage here and Marco Oliver with the last minute goal to round it off. AFC remain second in the Table.


Engine FC 2 Radford Albion 0

Engine retain their unbeaten record with goals in the last half an hour from Charlie Woodward and Lewis Barry to thank.


Princethorpe 3 Khalsa Reserves 1

Callum Carsley, Jake Allies Proctor and Conor Warburton with the Princethrpe strikes, Matt Nicholls with the Khalsa goal here as Khalsa remain at the foot of the Table and Princethorpe start to climb.

[b]We move on to Division 3

Kenilworth Royal Oak 2 Harbury 1 [/b]
With Hibs on Cup duty Royal Oak took their chances and closed the gap at the Top of the Table. Cem Yildiz and Harry Green on target for the Oak, Dean Pugh pulled one back for Harbury but the Oak held firm. Three points separate the Top four.

Napton 6 Hampton Magna 3
Napton with three goals in each half had just too much here for Magna. Chris Watts with a brace, Taylor Allen and Harry Norton with singles and an own goal for Napton. Ashley Turnbull with a brace and Jason Bradshaw on target for Magna


And finally on to Division 4

HRI Wellesbourne Reserves 2 Bulldog 5
Luke Sangha with a late brace for the veg boys but they were chasing the Bulldog who were three- nil up . Two goals in the last three minutes wrapped it up and Bulldog took the points home. Mark Hickey led the way scoring four, Liam Collins getting the other.


Long Itchington Reserves 4 Upper Lighthorne 0

Kieran Seagar, Olasheyi Sorinola, William Morby and William Shields doing the damage here as the Long Men climb above their opponents in the Table.


Wellesbourne Wanderers 4 Stockton 2

Dan Brown with the fastest goal of the day put Stockton ahead after only four minutes. John Ahearne extended the lead on the half hour mark. It was a game of two halves as Wellebourne bounced back on the hour mark through Sean Hopwood. Within ten minutes Joshua Duffin had the youngsters level and the tails were up! Four minutes later and Wellesbourne took the lead through Aaron Mobley and eight minutes later Duffin bagged his second to seal the points for the Wanderers

Whitnash Sports & Social Club 3 Southam Sporting 4
A thrilling second half here. The only goal in the first half from Beau Vickery to give Whitnash the lead. Two goals in two minutes from Louis Todd and Matty Goodwin extended the Whitnash lead and it looked all done. Southam woke up and scored four without reply in a thrilling comeback in Thirty Five minutes! Jamie Hammersley, Joshua Thomas James Davis and Harley Francis grabbing the goals.
