The League have decided to cancel next week's Council of Clubs meeting with the growing COVID threat.
League Chairman Mark Rowlatt said "Numbers are racing up and it's difficult to justify holding the meeting when we are so close to Christmas and the holidays, when we could be jeopardising the opportunity for people to celebrate with their family"
Some clubs have already cancelled fixtures for this weekend due to COVID.
"With the Christmas fixtures break, it's a perfect time to pause and reflect on the things that we hold dear and remember those who are no longer here to celebrate with us"
The League would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy and Healthy Christmas and New Year.
