All the results and goals from today.

Weekly round-up for Sunday 21 May 2023.
We start in Division 2

Dynamo Leamington 3 Pig and Fiddle 6

It’s not over yet for Pig and Kayne Withey set them up with a hat-trick here. Joshua Cope, Pedro Fernanades and Daniel Brierley got the others. Ashley Rowley notched a brace for Dynamo to keep it interesting and Lee Watton got the third. Pig are now holding on to the runners up spot but If Hib’s fail to gain two points from their last three games Pig might still do it.

Ettington Rovers 2 Leamington Hib’s Reserves 3

With a very late winner Hib’s stay on track for the League Title. It wasn’t plain sailing though. James Hancocks put Hib’s ahead only for Ben Matthew to reply ten minutes later. Charlie Fitzmaurice restored the Hib’s advantage on the half hour mark, but Matt Toms again made it all square just before half time. As it neared the end , with only twenty minutes to go, up popped Harry Hartin to score and take all three points for Hibs. Hib’s need two points from their remaining three games to seal the Title.

We move on to Division 3

Cubbington FC 2 Wellesbourne Wanderers 2

Final League game for both sides here and they share mid table, so a score draw was no big surprise here. James Pomeroy put Wellesbourne ahead just before half time here. Luke Swinnerton made it all square just before the hour mark, and Adam Short then struck to give Cubbington the advantage with twenty minutes to go. With only seven minutes remaining George Bryan then scored for Wellesbourne and the points were shared.

Hampton Magna 1 Cubbington Albion 4

The Title decider here and Albion were not troubled. Adam Knight started the Cubbington ball rolling with a brace inside the first twenty five minutes. The second half saw Dan Bates extend the lead just past the hour mark, before Aaron Dickens pulled one back for Magna with twenty minutes to go. Albion then went straight down the other end and restored the three goal advantage through Harry Taylor. Cubbington Albion are Division Three Champions.

Sporting Foresters 3 Napton 3

Foresters were ahead by two goals in twenty minutes. Thomas Ormsby and Daniel Eykyn on target. Aiden Print pulled one back just before the half hour mark and Suroush Lisle-Pourzyale made it all square just before the break. Thomas Wale restored the Foresters lead just after the break , but Lisle-Pourzyale made it all square again with his second goal just past the hour mark, and that’s how it stayed.

We finish as usual with Division 4

AFC Snitterfield 0 Newbold 0

Newbold are Division Four Champions but they couldn’t break down a stubborn Snitterfield defence here. That rare Sunday League mystery that is a goalless draw.

Balsall & Berkswell 2 Long Itchington Reserves 3

The Long Men are still in the hunt for Runners up spot in the Table and they have a last minute winner from Joe Tambini to thank along with a Jamie Bodfish equaliser with four minutes to go for keeping them in the hunt here! William Shields had given the Long Men the lead after seventeen minutes. Jack Reidy made it all square for the Hornets two minutes later. Ruben Oliveira then grabbed what appeared to be the winner for the Hornets with only ten minutes to go. The Long Men weren’t done and those two goals if four minutes turned the result on it’s head.

Stockton 5 HRI Harbury 2

Stockton are also in the hunt for the Runners Up spot. A brace apiece from Ryan Barnard and Malachy Rose, supported by the odd one from Dan Brown were too much for the Veg Boys here. Brett Ellard and Andy Tomlin with the replies but it wasn’t enough. Stockton keep in touch with the Long Men in the hunt for that final spot.

Whitnash Sports & Social Club 5 The Hollybush 2
Technically Whitnash are also in the hunt for Runners Up spot but goal difference will be difficult to overcome in their last game. They helped themselves here bagging five but also conceded two. Paulo Mota led the way with a hat-trick. Matty Goodwin and Krystian Kukielka with the other Whitnash goals. Travis Lea and Kieran Morgan getting the Hollybush replies.
