Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 22-23 - Semi-Finals

Bishops Itchington 1 Hampton Magna 1
A close game here and Magna went in front after the half hour when Mark Hickey struck with a penalty. It stayed that way and Magna were holding on, and looking forward to a Cup Final slot, when with only five minutes left on the watch, up popped Craig Watkin to make it all square. With time running out that’s how it stayed, and so to penalty kicks.
Bishops Itchington win 4 - 1 on penalties. Bishops go into the Challenge Cup Final.

Long Itchington 1 Leamington Hib’s 1
This one was also close and two late goals also meant a stalemate after fulltime. Connor Farrell with the opener for Hib’s just past the hour mark, but a very late equaliser from Bradley Allibone with two minutes to go and that took the tie to penalty kicks.
Long Itchington win 4 - 3 on penalties. Long Itchington join Bishops Itchington in the Challenge Cup Final.

Date for your diary.

Just the odd goal here and it came from Freddie Finn with twenty minutes to go, to take all three points for Albion, who sit at the top of the table with points in the bag.

Kenilworth Royal Oak 4 Real Barston 0
Royal Oak took the lead after twenty minutes through Jeremy Simmons. Barston held on until the second half when two goals in two minutes killed any hope. William Harte doing the damage. A very very late own goal gifted the Hornets all three points here, after it had been Bowling in front twice. Callum Stoutt gave The Bowling Green the lead after the half hour mark. Luke Shingler made it all square three minutes later. Just gone the hour mark and Callum Bailey restored the Bowling Green advantage but once again the Hornets levelled four minutes later through George Dick. Then with the watch three minutes deep into stoppage time Bowling Green scored in their own net to give the Hornets victory! The Bowling Green drop back from the top of the table and Honours seem to be gone.

Newbold with the come back in this one. The veg boys went in front courtesy of Leon Wallis, but two minutes after the break and an own goal gave Newbold an equaliser.
