We start off with a Cup Final. The Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Cup 22-23 - Final

HRI Harbury 1 Long Itchington 3

The pitch at Leamington looked superb and the weather held off . Long Itchington broke the deadlock within five minutes. A break down the right and a delightful cross was thumped home from close range by Sam Crawford. Greg Eales hit back to make it all square. The second half was just as tight. Andrew Maguire popped up to restore the advantage for the Long Men, and with the final kick of the game Mark Larner latched onto a through ball and slotted past the keeper. Long Itchington win the Cancer Cup!
The Cup and awards were presented by Roger Thomas on behalf of the Thomas family.

We now go to The Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Supplementary Cup 22-23 - Semi-Final

Dynamo Leamington 2 Khalsa 6

A Lee Watton brace early into the second half wasn’t enough for Dynamo here as Khalsa strode into the Cancer Supplementary Cup Final. Ryan Sahota led the way with a hat-trick. Sundeep Kalsi notched a brace and Josh Mann added the other. Dynamo made Khalsa work for it and it was only for three goals in the last ten minutes that saw Khalsa take control.

We move on to League action now and we start with Division 2

AFC Warwick 1 Whitnash Town AFC 2

George Ferridge scored to put AFC in front after twenty minutes. Daniel Burden then equalised just before half time. With only twelve minutes left on the clock Burden scored his second to take the points for Whitnash and their first away win in the League this season.

Khalsa Reserves 1 Princethorpe 3
A Ben Townsend strike just past the hour mark was not enough for Khalsa reserves here as Princethorpe score three.

We move on to Division 3

Cubbington Albion 3 Cubbington FC 0

Fastest goal of the day here and it came from Adam Knight to give Albion the dream start. Harry Taylor added a second on the half hour mark and Charlie Cleaver wrapped it up with fifteen minutes left.
Albion sit Top of the Table but Hampton Magna have three games in hand and are only eight points behind. It’s going to be tight! The head to head decider will be crucial!

Kenilworth Royal Oak 0 Wellesbourne Wanderers 3

A good result here for Wanderers who have Elliot Durbin, Sean Hopwood and Adam Pomeroy to thank for a three goal cushion.

Napton 2 Real Barston 3
Napton led at half time thanks to a Chris Watts brace in eight minutes. Benjamin Valatka struck from the penalty spot to keep Barston in tough. George Billington then popped up on the hour mark to make it all square and with two minutes left on the clock Charles Pickering snatched the winner to take the points home to Barston.

We round off as usual with Division 4

AFC Snitterfield 1 Southam Sporting 2

A Joshua Thomas brace in the first half was enough here. Bradley Daw gave Snitterfield hope with a late reply but Southam held on to take all three points. With games in hand Southam are still in the hunt for silverware. It’s tight at the Top!

Foresters 2 Stockton 1

Stockton are right up there, but drop points here as Foresters pull off a surprise win. Shamir Entezar put Foresters ahead on the half hour mark. Malachy Rose made it all square early into the second half, but Dean Pugh struck with five minutes to go to give Foresters the lead and they held on to take the points. It’s still all to play for as the we close in on the end of the season with the League and Cup Silverware up for grabs!

Long Itchington Reserves 6 HRI Harbury Reserves 0

The Long men stay clear at the Top but the pack are closing in. A brace apiece from Will Bradbury and Kieran Seager before half time had already sealed the points, then two goals in three minutes from Neil Milburn and Oscar Rose rounded it off.

Newbold 12 (twelve) The Hollybush 1

A consolation from Trav Lea for Hollybush here, but it was way out of sight by half time. Nine first half goals had seen Newbold in complete control. A brace apiece for Alex White, Jordan Bedford and Ryan Palmer. The other goals were shared around as Jordan Evetts, Daniel Masters, Ben Scandrett, Elliot Coop, Adam Coles and Daniel Griffin all scored.

The Holly Bush 0 Newbold 5

The reverse fixture played as a double header here and Newbold couldn’t match the first game. Five goals seems a poor result in comparison. A brace from Reece Mason. Jack Lovett, Michael Byrne and Joe Wright on target this time.
