All the results and goals from this weekend.

Weekly round-up for Sunday 26 February 2023. We have League and Cup action this week and we start as usual with the cup games and the first one up is the Division 1 Cup 22-23, sponsored by Anthony Eden Gents Hairdresser - Semi-Final

Long Itchington 0 Leamington Hib’s 1
A cracker of a Cup Semi -final here and it was a nail biter to the finish. Connor Farrell struck on the half hour mark to give Hib’s the advantage going into the break following a nip and tuck first half. The second half saw The Long men awarded a penalty kick to make it all square but Bastos in the sticks made a fine save to keep Hib’s in front. Hibs went down to ten men after a sending off and were reduced to nine on the field after a sin bin offence . Despite the onslaught from the Long Men Hib’s held on to go into the Division 1 Cup Final.

We move on to the Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 22-23 - Round 3

Khalsa Reserves 0 Hampton Magna 3
Khalsa reserves were in the hunt here until deep into the second half. On the hour mark Adam Edwards broke the deadlock to give Magna the lead. Twenty minutes later and it was in the bag. Mark Hickey and Aaron Dickens also adding to take the tie. Magna go into the next round.

Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Cup 22-23 - Round 2

Pig and Fiddle 2 Cubbington Albion 3
Equal fastest goal of the day here for Harry Taylor in the first minute to put Albion ahead. On thirty five minutes Ross Quartermaine had added a second with a far post header and Albion take a two goal lead into the break. Early into the second half and Pig and Fiddle have a freekick outside the box. Pedro Fernanades takes the kick and the deflection off the wall sees it nestle into the net. The Pig press for the equaliser but Albion hold on and with twenty minutes to go add a third from Charlie Cleaver. An own goal with two minutes to go gives a glimmer of hope but Cubbington hold on to progress into the next round.

On to the Andy Campbell Charity Invitation Cup 22-23 - Round 1

Sporting Foresters 0 Ettington Rovers 3
Ettington looked comfortable here . Carl Taylor with the opening goal after half an hour. Amine Bouhali with the second on the hour mark and Jordan Pearce completed the scoring with a penalty kick with four minutes to go. Ettington go into the next round.

Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Supplementary Cup 22-23 - Round 2

Wellesbourne Wanderers 2 Chadwick End 1
Wanderers went ahead after twelve minutes through an Aaron Mobley strike. Rhys Edwards made it all square on the half hour mark and that’s how it stayed. With Penalty Kicks looming, up popped Elliot Durbin to score and put Wanderers back in front and they held on for four minutes to go into the next round.

On to the George Dutton Charity Invitation Cup 22-23 - Round 2

Bishops Itchington 5 Real Barston 0
The Real Barston defence was breached after thirty five minutes and then Bishops took control . Callum Bell with the first to give Bishops the lead at half time. Craig Watkin, Matt Trinder, Johnny Adair and Bell with his second completed the scoring to take Bishops into the next round.

We move on to League action now and start as usual with Division 1 and we have lots of goals to go through.

Khalsa 3 Engine FC 0
Khalsa were two up in half an hour here through Sukharj Nijjar and Karanjit Sahota. That’s how it stayed until five minutes from time when Ryan Sahota scored another to make it all safe. Khalsa up to second in the Table.

We move on to Division 2

AFC Warwick 0 Leamington Hib’s Reserves 7 (seven)
Connor Mort led the way here with four goals as Hib’s continue their League form. Scott Hammond, Joshua Johal and Harry Davies with the others. Hib’s sit at the Top of the Table and have three games in hand over their closest rivals.

Princethorpe 2 Heathcote Athletic 0
A goal either side of half time were enough here as Princethorpe keep the pressure on at the Top. Callum Carsley with the first half strike, Jake Allies-Proctor with the second on the hour mark.

Whitnash Town AFC 2 Dynamo Leamington 1
An Ash Rowley penalty on thirty six minutes wasn’t enough here as goals from Daniel Burden and Adam Fincham secured three points for Whitnash.

And on to Division 3

Kenilworth Wardens 3 Kenilworth Royal Oak 4.
A local Derby here as Royal Oak visit close neighbours Wardens. It turned into a real thriller and Dan Twigger couldn’t believe his luck. He scored after only two minutes to put Wardens ahead and by the end of the match had secured a hat-trick. He still ended up on the losing side! Royal Oak had William Harte in their locker! He had made it all square after eight minutes and then went on to score three more including two in the last ten minutes to take the points back to the Royal Oak.

Kineton Sports & Social Club 1 Napton 1
A close one here and the teams could not be separated after ninety minutes. Scott Dunn gave Kineton the lead in the first half, but shortly after the break Lewis Elkins had brought Napton level. That’s how it stayed.

We finish as usual with Division 4

AFC Snitterfield 2 Whitnash Sports and Social Club 2
A brace apiece here for Neil Wilson and Paulo Mota keeping things all square. Wilson getting his first in the first minute. Equal fastest goal of the day.

Bowling Green 6 Wellesbourne Wanderers Reserves 0
One way traffic here as Bowling Green rolled over the Wanderers. A brace apiece for Callum Kidd and Callum Stoutt, supported by goals from Noah Whitlock and Lewis Adamo .

HRI Harbury Reserves 1 Long Itchington Reserves 1
George Walker had put the Long Men ahead after eight minutes but a Luke Sangha reply shortly after the break made it all square.

Southam Sporting 6 Foresters 4
Sporting took the points here with a brace each from Cameron Hill and Joshua Thomas. Harley Francis and Ackeem Marshall on target for the other strikes.

Stockton 7 (seven) The Hollybush 0
One sided here as Stockton ruled the roost. Josh Tolley led the way with a hat-trick. Sam Rose and John Ahearne also grabbed a brace apiece.
