Massey Ferguson Sports and Social claimed a 2-1 victory over Pig & Fiddle in a tightly contested match. Connor King opened the scoring for Massey Ferguson in the 6th minute, quickly answered by Sam Perry's equalizer for Pig & Fiddle in the 37th minute. Just before halftime, Jack Morgan restored Massey Ferguson's lead with a goal in the 44th minute, securing the win for his team.

We move on to Thursday 2 May 2024, and we have a Cup Final.
George Dutton Charity Invitation Cup 2023-24 - Final
Wellesbourne Wanderers 1 Khalsa 0

In a fiercely contested final for the George Dutton Charity Invitation Cup 2023-24, Wellesbourne Wanderers emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win over Khalsa. The decisive moment came in the 58th minute when Jak Walton found the back of the net, sending the Wanderers' supporters into jubilation. Despite a valiant effort from Khalsa, they couldn't breach Wellesbourne's defense, ultimately falling short in their quest for silverware. Wellesbourne Wanderers' triumph in the final capped off a memorable campaign, securing the prestigious cup and etching their name into the annals of the tournament's history.

Napton 2 Long Itchington 4

In a spirited display of football, Long Itchington emerged victorious against Napton with a convincing 4-2 win at full time. Napton drew first blood with a goal from James Pelter in the 57th minute, igniting hopes of a positive result. However, Long Itchington swiftly responded with a relentless offensive display, spearheaded by goals from their players. Oscar Wain further extended Napton's lead in the 72nd minute. Despite Napton's efforts, Long Itchington's resilience proved too much to handle as they secured the win.

We move on to League action now and Division 3
Cubbington FC 1 Real Barston 0

Cubbington FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Real Barston thanks to Richard Stedeford's decisive goal in the 59th minute. Despite a hard-fought battle from both sides, Stedeford's strike proved to be the difference, earning Cubbington FC all three points in a tightly contested encounter.

H R I Harbury 5 Stockton 3

H R I Harbury emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter against Stockton, securing a 5-3 win at full time. Brett Ellard was the standout performer, showcasing his scoring prowess with an impressive hat-trick, while Kieran Walsh also found the back of the net for Harbury. Despite Stockton's efforts, including goals from Rose Malachy and Daniel Brown, they couldn't overcome Harbury's offensive onslaught, ultimately falling short in a high-scoring affair.

On to Division 4
Balsall & Berkswell 2 Kineton Sport & Social 2

Balsall & Berkswell and Kineton Sport & Social battled to a 2-2 draw in a fiercely contested match. Ruben Oliveira starred for Balsall & Berkswell with two goals, cancelling out early strikes from Kineton's Scott Dunn. Despite both teams pushing for a winner, the match ended level, highlighting the competitive nature of the encounter.

We move on to Sunday 5 May 2024 and we start with the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Supplementary Cup 2023-24 - Final

Whitnash Town 3 Dynamo Leamington 3

In an exhilarating Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Supplementary Cup Final for the 2023-24 season, Whitnash Town and Dynamo Leamington finished deadlocked at 3-3. Ryan Woodward opened the scoring for Dynamo after ten minutes, slotting home from Lee Watton's cross. Watton continued to be a threat down Dynamo's right, but it was Whitnash Town's Mark Hickey who ghosted in at the back-post to equalize shortly before half-time.

Matty Goodwin put Whitnash ahead five minutes into the second-half, but Dynamo’s captain Ash Rowley equalized with a brilliant volley with twenty minutes to go. As the recent run of fixtures took its toll and Whitnash tired, Rowley took full advantage finding space in the last third. Five minutes later he struck again to put Dynamo 3-2 ahead. It looked like that would be that, but Whitnash refused to give up and the match reached a dramatic climax as Travis Lea grabbed a late equalizer with a cruel deflection that left Dynamo's keeper stranded.

As the game went to penalties, Dynamo held their nerve, converting all five of their penalties. But, as with the semi-final, it was Dynamo's veteran keeper Roland Barnes who rolled back the years and was again the penalty hero as he saved from the spot to give Dynamo their first ever silverware!

Dynamo Leamington win 4 - 5 on penalties and take home the Cancer Supplementary Cup.

Long Itchington 2 Khalsa 0

Long Itchington defeated Khalsa 2-0 in a dominant display of skill and determination. They controlled the game from start to finish, scoring a goal in each half to secure the victory. Khalsa fought hard but couldn't break through Long Itchington's defense.

We move on to League action and start with Division 1(A)

Kenilworth Wardens 0 Bishops Itchington 6

Bishops Itchington demonstrated total dominance in their match against Kenilworth Wardens, securing a resounding 6-0 victory. Edward Kostiuk and Adam Miles led the charge with two goals each, supported by strikes from Johnny Adair and Shaun Watkins. Kenilworth Wardens struggled to contain their opponents' relentless attack, suffering a comprehensive defeat.

We now go to Division 1(B)

Leamington Hibernian 5 Cubbington Albion 0

Leamington Hibernian secured a dominant 5-0 victory over Cubbington Albion. Goals from Liam Blake, Jack Marsden, Connoll Farrell (twice), and David Jones ensured their comprehensive win. Leamington Hibernian's attacking prowess and solid defense proved too much for Cubbington Albion to handle.

And next is Division 3

Cubbington FC 2 Newbold 0

Cubbington FC claimed a 2-0 victory over Newbold with goals from Carl Palmer and Luke Swinnerton in the second half. Their solid defence and clinical finishing secured the win, earning them three valuable points.

H R I Harbury 3 Napton 2

HRI Harbury clinched a narrow 3-2 victory over Napton in a closely contested match. Sam Pye scored twice for HRI Harbury in quick succession in the 55th and 57th minutes, putting his team in the lead. Napton fought back but Craig Setchell finding the net in the 82nd minute, completed the scoring for the Veg boys to take all three points.

We finish off with Division 4

A F C Snitterfield 2 Pig and Fiddle 3

In an intense match, AFC Snitterfield fell to Pig and Fiddle with a final score of 3-2. The game saw Pig and Fiddle take an early lead with Jordan Dance scoring at the 28-minute mark. Talib Bellamy equalized for Snitterfield shortly after halftime, but Sam Perry quickly reclaimed the lead for Pig and Fiddle. Reese Sangha leveled the score again at the 60-minute mark, but Calum Gellender sealed the victory for Pig and Fiddle with a decisive goal in the 78th minute.

Bowling Green 4 Stockton Reserves 0

In a dominant display, Bowling Green convincingly defeated Stockton Reserves 4-0. The match saw Bowling Green take control early on, with Claude Ovington opening the scoring in the 18th minute. The momentum continued into the second half as Jason Thompson extended the lead at the 60-minute mark. Ovington added his second goal of the match seven minutes later, further cementing Bowling Green's advantage. As the game approached its conclusion, Callum Bailey rounded off the scoring with a goal in the 90th minute, sealing a comprehensive victory for Bowling Green.

Kineton Sport & Social 1 Massey Ferguson Sports and Soc 10 (Ten)

In a one-sided encounter, Massey Ferguson Sports and Social dominated Kineton Sport & Social with a staggering 10-1 victory. The onslaught began early with Blake Arthur setting the tone with a goal in the 4th minute. Momentum built swiftly as Connor King and Quinn King added to the tally, bringing the score to 3-0 by the 30th minute. Ross Davis joined the scoring spree, netting his first goal before the break.
The second half saw no reprieve for Kineton as Danny McCann and Ross Davis continued the scoring onslaught. Michael Parry and Jack Steel further extended the lead, overwhelming Kineton’s defences. Despite a late consolation goal from Calum Naven Jones at the 83rd minute, Massey Ferguson’s dominance was unmistakable, capped by additional goals from McCann and a final strike from Arthur in the closing moments. The comprehensive 10-1 scoreline reflected Massey Ferguson's overwhelming superiority throughout the match.

Sporting Foresters 10 (ten) Balsall and Berkswell 2
Sporting Foresters delivered an overwhelming performance, defeating Balsall and Berkswell with a stunning 10-2 scoreline. Ben Salliss was in exceptional form, scoring four times, with goals at the 20th, 40th, 49th, and 60th minutes. Teammates Tom Ormsby and Matthew Joyce each contributed a brace, with Ormsby scoring at the 15th and 76th minutes, and Joyce adding goals at the 45th and 79th minutes. Alex Stevens also found the net twice, scoring back-to-back goals in the 50th and 80th minutes.
Balsall and Berkswell managed to score twice amidst the onslaught. Ruben Oliveira scored at the 26th minute, providing a brief moment of hope, and William Heward also added to their tally. Despite these efforts, Sporting Foresters' dominant performance sealed a decisive victory.
