Weekly Round up. 16/10/22

All the results and goals from this weekend.

Weekly round up for Sunday 16 October 2022. We have plenty of League and Cup action this week so we start as usual with the Cup competitions and that means the Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 22-23 - Round 1

Dynamo Leamington 3 Napton 1
A Chris Watts goal just after the break wasn’t enough for Napton here as Dynamo finished with two late goals to progress into the next round. Ashley Rowley with the Dynamo opener just before the break. Watts then replied to keep Napton in the hunt but strikes from Ryan Woodward and Nicholas Kajkowski finished it off. Dynamo progress.

Kineton Sports & Social Club 2 Kenilworth Royal Oak 7
Oak were too strong for new boys Kineton here. A Harry Green brace in the first thirteen minutes started the ball rolling. William Harte then stuck another four away before Green completed his hat trick. Alexander Mercer and Brayden Herdman responded for Kineton but Oak progress into the next round.

We move on to the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Cup 22-23 - Preliminary Round

AFC Snitterfield 0 Long Itchington 4
Andy McGuire led the way for the Long Men here with a first half brace. James Bolitho added another first half strike. Oscar Rose then popped up with a late strike to round it all off. The Long Men progress.

AFC Warwick 3 Sporting Foresters 3
A tight one here as Daniel Long put a hat trick away for AFC but a Liam Miller brace and one from Ethan Poole made it all square after the final whistle. So to penalty kicks.
AFC Warwick win 3 - 1 on penalties and progress to the next round.

Cubbington FC 6 The Builders 1
The Builders still finding their feet here and Cubbington started building their lead in five minutes through Tajae Ferguson. The goals were shared around with Jake Murphy, Carl Palmer , Paul Bennett , Alexander Badger and a last minute Mark Smith penalty completing the rout. Ferenc Vajda with the builders consolation two minutes from time.

Ettington Rovers 0 Khalsa Reserves 2
A goal in each half were enough here as Khalsa Reserves move into the next round. Istvan Demeter and Luke Warby the Khalsa marksmen.

HRI Harbury 3 Real Barston 0
A Greg Eales brace and one from Charlie Mitchell were enough here as the veg boys progress into the next round.

Hampton Magna 5 Whitnash Town AFC 1.
James Footman set the Magna ball rolling and two more goals from Matthew Hughes and Aaron Dickens before half time had Magna in control. Sion Humphreys pulled one back on the half hour mark. Dickens added two more in the second half to complete his hat trick and round it all off. Magna into the next round.

Princethorpe 3 Southam Sporting 2
A second half come back here as Cameron Hill had given Southam a first half lead. Hill added a second just after the break but then Princethorpe woke up. Two minutes later and Ryan Hodson had pulled one back. A late brace then from Joe Tresadern completed the comeback. Princethorpe into the next round.

Wellesbourne Wanderers 5 Chadwick End 2
A Joshua Kilbride hat trick led the way for Wellesbourne here, Dion Love and Ryan Hopwood adding the others. Mark Turner pulled one back just before half time and Ross Jackson added another late on but Wellesbourne progress into the next round.

We move on to the George Dutton Charity Invitation Cup 22-23 - Preliminary Round
Bishops Itchington 6 Leamington Hibs 0

One way traffic here as Bishops march into the next round. Andrew Yeates bagged a brace. Josh Turton , Craig Watkin, Henry Leaver and Callum Bell rounding it off. Bishops into the next round.

We move on to League action now and start with Division 3

Kenilworth Wardens 2 Cubbington Albion 1
A late Dan Twigger goal took the points for Wardens. Harry Morris had put the Kenilworth outfit ahead on the half hour mark and Billy Gatfield had made it all square just before the break. Wardens move above Albion into second place in the table.

And on to Division 4
Foresters 10 (ten) Balsall and Berkswell 0

All one way traffic here but no scorers provided.

Whitnash Sports & Social Club 2 Bowling Green 1
A goal in each half were enough here as Whitnash take the points. Aaron Aulak with a penalty on seventeen minutes and Sheldon Wainwright with the late winner. Callum Stoutt with the Bowling Green reply.

Weekly Round-Up - 9th October 2022 This week was mostly all about the Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup, with games in the Preliminary and First Round. There were also some league games, and, as last week, plenty of goals!
