Weekly round-up for SUNDAY 19TH May 2024.
We start with the midweek games and first off is Tuesday 14 May 2024
Division 1(A)
Kenilworth Wardens 3 Bourton and Frankton FC 7 (seven)
Wardens had scored three before thirty minutes were up. Dan Twigger with the first after only three minutes. Andy Legg got the second after fifteen minutes and Twigger grabbed his second on the half hour mark. However Bourton and Frankton struck back with seven of their own. Dexter Robinson scored a hat-trick. Jake Allies-Proctor and James Lienau both helped themselves to a brace apiece.
Khalsa 2 Bishops Itchington 3
The game started with Khalsa taking an early lead when Finley Crane scored in the 5th minute. Bishops Itchington responded just before halftime, with George Price equalizing in the 40th minute to make it 1-1.
The second half saw Khalsa once again take the lead, as Crane netted his second goal in the 55th minute. However, Bishops quickly levelled the score at 2-2 with a goal from Edward Kostiuk in the 60th minute. The decisive moment came in the 80th minute when Craig Watkin scored, securing a 3-2 victory for Bishops Itchington.
We move on to Division 1(B)
Leamington Hibernian 3 Long Itchington 3
Long Itchington struck first with Matt Williams scoring in the 17th minute, setting the tone for an action-packed match. Leamington Hibernian quickly responded with Ashley Kitchen equalizing in the 22nd minute.
Leamington Hibernian then took the lead with a goal from Scott Hammond in the 34th minute, making it 2-1. The lead was extended further when Joshua Beeson found the net in the 40th minute, putting Leamington Hibernian up 3-1 by halftime.
Long Itchington came back strongly in the second half, with Owen Wilkes scoring in the 51st minute to narrow the deficit to 3-2. The match culminated in dramatic fashion when Jack Dent scored in the 85th minute, levelling the score at 3-3.
We move on to Division 3
Cubbington FC 3 Wellesbourne Wanderers 3
The match saw Wellesbourne Wanderers take the lead first, with Alexander Rea scoring in the twenty-fifth minute. Rea doubled the lead for Wellesbourne Wanderers with another goal in the thirty-eighth minute, giving them a comfortable 2-0 advantage by halftime.
Cubbington FC mounted a strong comeback in the second half. Jack Gibson scored their first goal on the hour mark, narrowing the gap to 2-1. Gibson struck again in the seventy-second minute to level the score at 2-2.
Wanderers regained the lead when James Pomeroy scored in the seventy-seventh minute, making it 3-2. However, Cubbington FC responded swiftly, with Sam Smith finding the back of the net in the eighty-fourth minute to equalize once again, resulting in a final score of 3-3.
Long Itchington Reserves 1 Kenilworth Royal Oak 5
The match started with Kenilworth Royal Oak taking an early lead when Matthew Wood scored in the twelfth minute. They quickly extended their advantage, with William Harte netting a goal in the seventeenth minute to make it 2-0.
James McCarthy added a third goal for Kenilworth Royal Oak in the thirty-fifth minute, giving them a comfortable 3-0 lead going into halftime. Long Itchington Reserves struggled to find their footing, but managed to pull one back in the fifty-sixth minute through Alastair Stephens, making it 3-1.
Kenilworth Royal Oak quickly quashed any hopes of a comeback, with Joshua Cox scoring in the fifty-first minute to restore their three-goal lead. Kai Mason sealed the victory with a goal in the seventy-ninth minute, bringing the final score to 5-1.
We finish the day with Division 4
Southam Sporting 9(nine) Wellesbourne Wanderers Res 1
The scoring began early with Harley Francis finding the net in the tenth minute. Keir Wood added a second goal in the twenty-fifth minute, setting the tone for Southam Sporting's dominant performance.
Joshua Thomas scored his first goal of the match in the thirty-fifth minute, followed by Dan Luke in the thirty-eighth minute. Thomas struck again just two minutes later in the fortieth minute, making it 5-0 before halftime.
Wellesbourne Wanderers Reserves managed to get on the scoreboard with James Sanderson scoring in the forty-third minute, ending the first half at 5-1.
Southam Sporting continued their relentless attack in the second half. Harley Francis scored his second goal in the fifty-fifth minute. Joshua Thomas completed his hat-trick in the sixty-fifth minute and added a fourth goal in the eightieth minute. Shamir Entezar contributed to the tally with a goal in the sixty-eighth minute.
We move on to Thursday 16 May 2024
We start with Division 1(A)
Bourton & Frankton FC 1 Leamington Hib’s Res 6
The match began with an early goal from Harry Davies in the third minute, giving Leamington Hibernians Reserves a quick lead. Connor Mort doubled the advantage with a goal in the tenth minute.
As the first half drew to a close, Connor Mort struck again in the forty-fifth minute, making it 3-0 at halftime. Leamington Hibernians Reserves continued their dominance in the second half, with Scott Hammond scoring in the sixtieth minute to extend the lead to 4-0.
Bourton & Frankton FC managed to pull one back when Edward Spencer scored in the sixty-fifth minute, but any hopes of a comeback were short-lived. Connor Mort completed his hat-trick with a penalty in the seventieth minute, bringing the score to 5-1. Harry Davies sealed the emphatic victory with his second goal in the eighty-ninth minute.
On to Division 1 B
Long Itchington 4 Heathcote Athletic 2
The scoring began in the twelfth minute with Sam Crawford netting the first goal for Long Itchington. William Morby quickly added a second in the eighteenth minute, giving the home team a strong start.
Matt Williams extended Long Itchington's lead to 3-0 with a goal in the twenty-second minute, putting them firmly in control. Heathcote Athletic started to mount a comeback in the second half, with Jamie Halleron-Kay scoring in the fifty-second minute to make it 3-1.
Musa Sabo further closed the gap for Heathcote Athletic with a goal in the seventieth minute, bringing the score to 3-2 and adding tension to the final stages of the game. However, Sam Crawford struck again in the seventy-sixth minute, securing the win for Long Itchington with his second goal of the match.
Next is Division 3
Cubbington FC 0 Bishops Itchington Res 2
The scoring began in the twenty-fourth minute when Craig Watkin found the net, giving Bishops Itchington Reserves an early lead.
Cubbington FC fought hard to find an equalizer, but Bishops Itchington Reserves doubled their advantage in the thirty-sixth minute with a goal from Joel Bennett. Despite Cubbington FC's efforts to get back into the game, they were unable to breach Bishops Itchington Reserves' defence.
H R I Harbury 1 Real Barston 0
H R I Harbury secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Real Barston in a tightly contested match. The lone goal of the game came late in the eighty-eighth minute when Kieran Walsh found the back of the net for H R I Harbury.
Whitnash Town 2 Napton 4
Chris Watts put Napton ahead after eleven minutes. Will Bradbury extended Napton's lead with goals in the eighteenth and fiftieth minutes.
Despite falling behind, Whitnash Town fought back, with Mark Hickey scoring in the thirty-first minute to narrow the deficit. However, Napton maintained their momentum, with Bradbury completing his hat-trick in the fifty-sixth minute, further solidifying their lead.
Whitnash Town managed to pull one back in the seventy-fifth minute through Daniel Bates, but it wasn't enough to mount a comeback
Again we finish with Division 4. But this was a Title decider!
Massey Ferguson Sports&Soc 2 Bowling Green 0
Massey Ferguson Sports & Social wrapped up the Division Four Title winning this tightly contested match against Bowling Green who always looked like they could upset the apple cart. Both sides went close in the first half but the scoresheet remained blank. The deadlock was broken early in the second half when Ross Davis raced into the box and was unmarked as he met a looping cross from the right and his header found the back of the net in the forty-sixth minute, giving The Tractor boys the lead.
Bowling Green fought hard to level the score, and came close when a thumping effort from 25 yards came back off the crossbar. As the game entered its final stages, Massey Ferguson Sports & Social sealed the win with a goal from Adam Buzzard in the eighty-fifth minute. After a melee in the box and a failed clearance from a corner Buzzard managed to wrap his foot round the ball and scoop it goalwards as he was falling backwards, where it hit the underside of the bar, down onto the post, bounced along the goal line hit the other post and dropped over the line. With only five minutes to go Massey’s held on and win the Division 4 Title in their first season in the League.

We start with a Cup Semi Final.
Andy Campbell Charity Invitation Cup 2023-24 - Semi-Final
Khalsa Reserves 0 Long Itchington 4
In the semi-final clash of the Andy Campbell Charity Invitation Cup, Long Itchington emerged victorious with a resounding 4-0 win over Khalsa Reserves.
Long Itchington wasted no time asserting their authority, with Sam Crawford finding the net twice right from the kick-off, putting his team in a commanding position. Matt Williams and Michael Clement further extended Long Itchington's lead with goals of their own, leaving Khalsa Reserves struggling to mount a comeback.
Despite their best efforts, Khalsa Reserves were unable to break through Long Itchington's defense and were left unable to respond to the early onslaught of goals.
Long Itchington progress into the Andy Campbell Cup Final against Ettington Rovers FC this Thursday 6.30pm ko at Stockton. £3.00 entry cash only on the gate.
We move on to Division 1(A)
Bourton & Frankton FC 5 Kenilworth Wardens 1
James Leinu led the charge for Bourton & Frankton FC, netting two goals to set the tone for the match. Dexter Robinson also made a significant impact with two goals of his own. Connor Warburton rounded off the scoring for Bourton & Frankton FC.
Khalsa 7 Dynamo Leamington 4
Khalsa emerged victorious in a high-scoring encounter against Dynamo Leamington, securing a thrilling 7-4 win. The match was marked by a flurry of goals from both sides, showcasing the attacking prowess of both teams.
Khalsa took an early lead with goals from Josh Mann in the 10th minute and Jason Brown in the 21st minute. Dynamo Leamington quickly responded with Ashley Rowley opening the scoring for them.
Narinder Sarai extended Khalsa's lead in the 26th minute, but Dynamo Leamington fought back with goals from Matthew Nicholls, Nicholas Kajkowski, and Lee Watton, leveling the score.
However, Khalsa regained control with Callum Herlihy finding the back of the net in the 30th minute. The second half saw a flurry of goals, with Jason Brown and Ian Pollock scoring for Khalsa, and Aaron Sahota adding to the tally.
Despite Dynamo Leamington's efforts, Khalsa's offensive firepower proved too much to handle, securing them a well-deserved victory in an entertaining match filled with goals.
We move on to Division 3
Cubbington FC 1 HRI Harbury 1
In a closely contested match, Cubbington FC and HRI Harbury played out a 1-1 draw. The game was characterized by solid defensive displays from both teams, with goals proving hard to come by.
Cubbington FC broke the deadlock on the hour mark when Adam Short found the back of the net, giving them the lead. However, HRI Harbury fought back and managed to equalize in the seventy-fifth minute through Kieran Walsh.
Both teams pushed for a winning goal in the remaining minutes of the match, but solid defending and goalkeeping ensured that the scoreline remained level until the final whistle.
With Wellesbourne Wanderers breathing down the Veg boys necks this might cost them a League Title.
Newbold 0 Bishops Itchington Reserves 10 (ten)
A one sided affair here as Bishops went into double figures.
Stockton 2 Napton 5
Oscar Wain nabbed a brace and Jack Hancock also added inside twenty five minutes to set Napton on their way. Stockton struck back early in the second half with an own goal and another from Luc Sengupta just before the hour mark. As Stockton pushed for the equaliser Napton took advamtage as the gaps appeared at the back and goals from Chris Watts and Aiden Print wrapped up the points for Napton.
We finish off with Division 4
Bowling Green 7 Balsall and Berkswell 4
In a thrilling encounter, Bowling Green emerged victorious with a stunning 7-4 win over Balsall and Berkswell. The match was characterized by an abundance of goals from both teams, providing an exciting spectacle for the spectators.
Bowling Green took an early lead with Jake Howes opening the scoring in the fifth minute. Balsall and Berkswell quickly responded with Liam Perkins finding the net in the eleventh minute, but Bowling Green regained their lead through Junior Arthur in the fifteenth minute.
The goal fest continued as Callum Stout and Ed Jolly added to Bowling Green's tally in the twenty-seventh and thirty-second minutes respectively. Balsall and Berkswell managed to pull one back with Jack Reidy scoring in the twenty-eighth minute, but Bowling Green extended their lead once again with Callum Bailey finding the net in the thirty-fourth minute.
In the second half, both teams continued to find the back of the net, with Benjamin Wilson and Daniel Watson scoring for Bowling Green in the sixty-third and seventieth minutes respectively. Balsall and Berkswell fought hard, with Liam Perkins scoring his second goal in the sixty-fourth minute and Zack Palmer adding another in the eighty-first minute.
Despite Balsall and Berkswell's efforts to mount a comeback, Bowling Green's early lead proved decisive as they secured a well-deserved victory in a goal-filled match. Bowling Green confirm their Runners Up spot in the Table.
Kineton Sport & Social 6 AFC Snitterfield 1
The scoring commenced in the nineteenth minute when Rory Fisher found the net, giving Kineton Sport & Social an early lead. Scott Dunn quickly doubled their advantage just two minutes later, setting the tone for their dominance.
AFC Snitterfield managed to pull one back with Talib Bellamy scoring in the seventy-fifth minute, offering a glimmer of hope. However, Kineton Sport & Social responded emphatically, with goals from Malachy O'Sullivan, Graham Prest, and Scott Dunn in the seventieth, seventy-eighth, and eightieth minutes respectively.
Malachy O'Sullivan added another goal to his tally in the eighty-fifth minute, capping off a superb performance for Kineton Sport & Social.
Southam Sporting 1 Massey Ferguson Sports and Social 3
Title winners Massey Ferguson Sports & Social secured a 3-1 victory over Southam Sporting
Massey Ferguson Sports & Social took the lead early on with Quinn King finding the net in the eleventh minute. They extended their advantage before halftime when Jonny Lee converted a penalty in the thirty-eighth minute.
Despite being behind, Southam Sporting showed determination and managed to pull one back in the sixty-fifth minute with Luke Hurst scoring with a fine effort into the top corner from twenty yards. However, Massey Ferguson Sports & Social quickly responded, with Cameron Henson restoring their two-goal lead in the sixty-ninth minute. Skipping through onto a pass and flicking the ball past the advancing keeper. Sporting were nearly back in it after a shot crashed back off the crossbar.
Southam Sporting pushed hard to stage a comeback, but Massey Ferguson Sports & Social's defence held firm, securing them the 3-1 victory.
Sporting Foresters 4 Pig and Fiddle 0
The scoring started in the twentieth minute when Ben Salliss found the back of the net, giving Sporting Foresters an early lead. They doubled their advantage in the thirtieth minute with Sam Cleaver converting a penalty.
In the second half, Foresters continued to assert their dominance. Liam Miller extended their lead further in the sixtieth minute with a well-taken goal. Daniel Batchelor sealed the victory for Sporting Foresters with a goal in the seventieth minute, putting the result beyond doubt.
