Weekly Round up

All the results and goals from this weeks games.

Weekly round-up for Sunday 5 September 2021. We are away and the League starts with some interesting results and some new teams show they are up for the fight! We start as usual with Division 1.

Heathcote Athletic 1 Leamington FC Vets 5.
The Vets off to a flyer and Kristoffer Burbury with a 30th minute reply for Heathcote was overwhelmed by goals from Nathan Hands a brace from Ross Jackson , Martin Hutchcox and a welcome return strike for Andrew Hood on his debut for the vets.

On to Division 2
AFC Warwick 1 Princethorpe 6

Princethorpe were off the mark with devastating effect here. Tyler Reeve sticks two away either side of half time. Brannon Aitchison pulls one back for AFC , but a devastating 10 minute spell from Cameron Anderson puts the game beyond doubt as he slams home a very swift hat-trick. Harvey Joy finished it off with a goal 5 minutes from time.

Dynamo Leamington 6 Ettington Rovers 3
Dynamo were 3 -0 up by half time through Ashley Rowley , an OWN GOAL and Daniel Blohm . The second half was a nip and tuck affair and two goals from Nicholas Kajkowski . balanced out by replies from Carl Taylor and Tom Gardner. Ashley Rowley popped up with two minutes to go to seal the points but Kieran Weatherhead stuck one away at the death for Ettington to keep it interesting.

Real Barston 3 Engine FC 3
A thriller here with two good sides going for it. Lewis Barry put the Engine ahead and Gareth Davies replied inside 10 minutes. Jarrad Lane then struck to put the Engine back in front before half time. Luca Valle added another 10 minutes after the re-start to extend the lead but two late strikes from Ollie Stuchbury and an OWN GOAL were enough to share the spoils.

We move on to Division 3

Hampton Magna 1 Foresters 2
A brace from Joshua Marshall in a five minute spell were enough here as Foresters showed they were not going to be left behind this season. Ryan Leahy pulled one back for Magna bur the Woodmen held on for the points.


Leamington Hibernian Reserves 10 (Ten) Kenilworth Royal Oak 3

New boys Royal Oak were treated to a devastating welcome by Hibs reserves with no mercy. Finn Kelly stepped up with a hat-trick for Royal Oak, but Hibs were rampant. Scott Hammond grabbed four. Ty Sheehan and Ryan Butler a brace apiece, Daniel Wilkinson and an own goal rounding it off.


Napton 2 Warwick Printing 4

Bailey Searle with the second fastest goal of the day put Napton ahead and within 4 minutes Joe Merry had made that 2 – 0. It was then all Printers as Conor Smith struck with four without reply to take the points back to Warwick. 4

We finish off with Division 4

Kenilworth Wardens 3 Stockton 2
Wardens return to the League with a victory and it was all done in the first half. Toby Wells had a brace by 25 minutes. Ethan Price added a third before half time. Stockton fought back but strikes from Malachy Rose and Ryan Barnard were not enough.

Southam Sporting 2 Cubbington Albion 3
The return of Cubbington Albion was a late one! Jake McIlwaine and Euan Jayes had seen new boys Southam Sporting into a 2 – 0 lead. Elliot Wong and Billy Gatfield pulled Cubbington level and a 91st minute penalty saw the points go to Cubbington. Ross Quartermaine took the spot kick.


Sporting Club de Stratford 0 HRI Wellesbourne Reserves 5

Dale Francis with the fastest goal of the day here on 5 minutes set the ball rolling. Guy Allen and Luke Sangha added before half time. Allen grabbed his second on the hour mark and Paul Webster finished it off with fifteen minutes to go.

Upper Lighthorne 2 Bulldog 1
Two new clubs and it was a close battle, with Lighthorne coming out on top. Scott Millar and John Hampton on target for the villagers, and Kyle Needham with the late consolation for Bulldog.


Wellesbourne Wanderers 3 Long Itchington Res 2

A real nip and tuck game here as George Bryan put the home side ahead. The Long Men stormed back in the second half with two goals in 8 minutes through William Morby and Reece Sangha. Benjamin Adler then made it all square with half an hour to go. With the watch on 90 minutes up popped Sean Hopwood to take all three points for Wellesbourne. A great start for the youngsters in the new campaign
