Weekly round-up for Sunday 12 January 2020. We start with the Cup matches and this week that’s
The Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 2019-20 - Round 2

Leamington Hibernians 10 (ten) Blackdown 0

The youngsters from Division 3 were on the receiving end of an on song Division 1 Hibs. David Jones led the way. He had scored his first hat-trick within 16 minutes of kick off. His second hat-trick was all in the second half! Jack Marsden also grabbed three goals and Jamie Duffy popped in the odd one. Hibs progress into the next round.

We move on to The Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Supplementary Cup 2019-20 - Round 1

Radford Albion 2 Heathcote Athletic 3

The Division 2 side ran the Division 1 side close here. Owen Davies put Heathcote ahead on 15 minutes. Jamie Lee pulled Radford level on 33 minutes, only for Davies to pop up and restore the one goal advantage two minutes later. It was tight until 65 minutes when James Bye put Heathcote 1 - 3 up and calmed the nerves. Daniel Burden then stuck one away on 77 minutes to pull Radford back into it and the remaining 13 minutes saw Heathcote hold on to go into the next round

We move on to the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Cup 2019-20 - Round 1

Real Barston 3 Ettington Rovers 0

Barston were in control here with two first half strikes from David Knowles and Matthew Gillett (Pen) . The second half was a close affair with Bradley Poma getting the Barston third in the last minute. Barston go into the hat for the next round.

And our last Cup game this week is The Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Cup 2019-20 - Round 2

Warwick Boar 0 Westlea Wanderers 7 (Seven)

Another Division 1 side ruling the roost, over a Division 4 side this time. Boar who are still on a 100% league record were no match for on-song Westlea. It took 18 minutes before Adam Knight got in on the act. Two minutes later and Shae O'Loughlin had added a second. Neil Stacey then stuck one away on the stroke of half time. Craig Watkin then popped up on 64 minutes to score, shortly followed by Stacey with his second. A late brace from Michael Ellis finished it off. Westlea go through to the next round.

We move on to League Action now and we start as usual with Division 1

Bishops Itchington 2 HRI Wellesbourne 2

Nip and Truck here as Sam Mitchell put the veg boys in front. Adam Miles responded just after half time to make it all square. With 15 minutes to go George Crawford restored the Veg boys lead but with two minutes left on the clock Johnny Adair equalised for Bishops.

Khalsa 3 AFC Warwick 1

Khalsa were 2 up by half time through Manjinder Chhokran and Josh Mann. Jake Shattock then added a third on the hour mark. Henry Oyenuga pulled one back for AFC from the penalty spot with 20 minutes to go but Khalsa held firm.

On to Division 2
Hampton Magna 0 Khalsa Reserves 2

Khalsa take the points and leap up the Table here. Jasraj Gill and Istvan Demeter on target for Khalsa. Magna lose ground at the Top.

So to Division 3

Chadwick End Reserves 8 Princethorpe 3

Hat-tricks apiece for Mark Turner and Niall Grace. Michael Taylor and Joshua Webley chipping in with the other goals.

And finally to Division 4

Bishops Tachbrook Reserves 2 Stockton 3

Stockton keep up the pressure at the Top of the Table. Malachy rose scored the first on 2 minutes and it still wasn’t fastest goal of the day! Richie Davies made it 2 – 0 but a Craig Williams brace brought the teams level by half time. It took a Daniel Brown goal on 57 minutes to separate them and Stockton take home the points.

Foresters 2 Napton 7 (seven)

Foresters with the fastest goal of the day from Sam Rudge in the first minute. Luke Payton got the Forester other goal on his debut. It then became the Christopher Watts show as he became the second player to bag six goals today. Two in the first half and four in the second. Oliver Owen-Smith got the other Napton strike on the hour mark.

HRI Wellesbourne Res 1 Whitnash United 4

An Oliver Vaughan consolation on 80 minutes here for the Veg boys as Whitnash secured the points. Rueben Bastos led the way on 5 minutes. Taylor Forrest midway through the first half added the second. Paul Abhishek and Finley Wills rounded it off late in the second half. The Veg boys miss the chance to go Top of the Table. Whitnash retain their 100% record and start to ease their way up the Table with games in hand. Boar have a fight on their hands.

Warwickshire Police 5 Long Itchington Res 0

The damage was done in the first half here. 4 goals in a 24 minute spell saw the Cops take control. With the pitch cutting up badly the second half was always going to be a tighter affair and the Long Men dug deep and got more into the game. A single strike from Lee Owen 5 minutes into the second half was the only goal after the break. The Cops other goals coming from Craig Marshall, Adam Russell , Dan Stanton and Tim O’Mahoney. The Cops remain Top but have played more games. The Division 4 Title race is looking a cracker!
