All the results and goals from today.

Weekly round up for Sunday 4 December 2022. We have Cup matches to start and that means the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Cup 22-23 - Round 1

AFC Warwick 2 Khalsa Res 3
Scott Hughes had put AFC ahead but Khalsa had turned it round by half time with goals from Matt Nicholls on the half hour and a David Benton strike four minutes later. Istvan Demeter extended the lead with twenty minutes to go. George Ferridge bagged a very late consolation but Khalsa held on to go into the next round. AFC go into the supplementary.

On to The Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 22-23 - Round 2

Bishops Itchington 2 Khalsa 1
All the goals in the first half here. Adam Miles and Craig Watkin giving Bishops the lead within twenty five minutes. Scott Nicholson pulled one back on the half hour and that’s how it stayed. Bishops into the next round.

Dynamo Leamington 3 Whitnash Town AFC 1
Equal fastest goal of the day for Ashley Rowley on two minutes to put Dynamo ahead. Jack Morrison hade made it all square by the half hour mark. Two second half goals from Roberto Ciuffini on the hour and Ryan Woodward with twenty minutes to go sealed the win to take Dynamo into the next round.

Kenilworth Royal Oak 0 Leam Hib’s Res 3
Royal Oak held firm in the first half but Hib’s took control shortly after the break. Connor Mort, Scott Hammond and James Hancocks bagging the goals to take Hib’s into the next round.

Long Itchington 4 Pig and Fiddle 2
The Long men were in control here but two very late goals from Jake McCarthy -Phillips and Josh Tiff made it a bit more respectable for Pig. Mark Larner put the Long Men ahead. Andy McGuire struck early into the second half, shortly followed by Larner with his second. It stayed that way until the last ten minutes! The Pig then replied with two goals in two minutes but Sam Crawford wrapped it all up four minutes later. The Long Men go into the hat for the next round.

Real Barston 1 Stockton 3
George Billington had given Barston the lead but Josh Tolley made it all square before half time. John Ahearne then put Stockton ahead on the hour mark and Tolley got his second with less than ten minutes to go to seal the win. Stockton progress.

We move on to the The Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 22-23 - Round 1

Southam Sporting 1 Cubbington Albion 6
Equal fastest goal of the day here for Thomas Rowe on two minutes. Southam kept pushing and grabbed an equaliser before the break through Jamie Simpson. The second half belonged to Albion. Dan Bates set them on their way with a brace in twelve minutes. Harry Taylor added another and then a late pair from Kyle Ball and Alex Witchell rounded it off in the last five minutes. Albion into the next round.

We move on to League action now and start as usual with Division 1

Leamington Hibernian 2 Engine FC 0
Two first half goals from Carl Smedley and Rhys Pugh were enough to take the points here.

On to Division 2

Ettington Rovers 3 Princethorpe 2
A Jordan Robinson hat trick was enough to take the points for Ettington. Thomas Pugh and Ryan Hodson with the replies for Princethorpe.

And now for Division 3

Cubbington FC 1 Hampton Magna 1
A tight one here and goals from Jack Gibson and Jason Bradshaw kept it all square at the end and Magna lose more ground at the top of the table.

Kineton Sports & Social Club 1 Wellesbourne Wanderers 4 James Keller is back on the goal trail for Kineton but his solitary strike wasn’t enough as Jake Faulkener had given Wellesbourne the lead. A late hat trick in nine amazing minutes from Dion Love gave Wellesbourne the points.

Napton 1 Sporting Foresters 0
A late solitary strike from Chris Watts five minutes from time gives Napton all three points here.

We round off with Division 4

Foresters 3 The Builders 1
The builders with a late consolation from Max Hubbard but it wasn’t enough as Foresters scored three.

Newbold 3 AFC Snitterfield 2
Talib Kargbo on the scoresheet for Snitterfield inside ten minutes. However Jordan Bedford made it all square three minutes later. Bedford got his second before the half hour to give Newbold the advantage at the break. Ryan Palmer then extended the lead shortly into the second half. Harry Jones pulled one back with fifteen minutes left but Newbold held on to take the points.

Wellesbourne Wanderers Reserves 4 Balsall and Berkswell 0
A brace in each half for Wanderers was enough here to take the points. James Sanderson and Dylan Cook with the first half goals. Sanderson with his second and Dawid Peplkinski with the second half strikes.

Whitnash Sports & Social Club 2 Long Itchington Res 5
A great start for Whitnash here as Reece Timms scored after only three minutes. The Long Men had recovered by half time and led after goals from Kamil Potrec and Kieran Seager. Seager got his second just after the break and Potrec then added another ten minutes later. Paulo Mota pulled one back from the penalty spot with twenty minutes to go but The Long men were in control and held on.
