Weekly Round-up for Sunday 24 March 2019
We start with the Cup Competitions and this week that’s our first Divisional Cup Final of the Season, with a match report here.

Division 1 Cup, sponsored by Anthony Eden Gents Hairdresser 2018-19 - Final
Bishops Itchington 3 - 1 Khalsa

We move on to the Leamington Referees' Association George Dutton Challenge Cup 2018-19 - Semi-Final
HRI Wellesbourne 1 Leamington Hibs 1
This one went to the wire. All square at half time and it took a Guy Allen strike on 65 minutes to break the deadlock. Hibs pushed hard and were rewarded with an equaliser in the 93rd minute. So it went to penalties.

HRI Wellesbourne win 6 - 5 on penalties.

HRI go through to the Final.

We move on to League action and we start as usual with Division 1
Westlea Wanderers 2 Radford Semele 1
All square at half time with no goals. Lewis Scott put Westlea ahead but Jamie Duffy levelled 10 minutes later. Joe Wright popped up to give Westlea the lead and they held on for the last 10 minutes

We move on to Division 2

Ettington Rovers 2 Heathcote Athletic 3
An Alex Ashfield brace in 2 minutes wasn’t enough for Ettington here. James Bye had put the visitors ahead before Ashfield had given Ettington the lead. Nicholas Keenan then made it all square with 20 minutes to go before evergreen Chris Collier popped in the winner with 10 minutes to go.

Leamington FC Veterans 2 Radford Albion 3
The Vets lose ground in the table with this defeat at home to Albion. Paul Lee and Butho Sibanda on target for the Vets, but it wasn’t enough as Daniel Burden and a brace from Sion Humphreys gave Albion the points.

Long Itchington 3 Kineton Sports and Social 2
The League leaders were cut down by the Long Men here. Uluseyi Sorinola, Sam Crawford and Neil Milburn on target for the Long Men. Kineton have a Connoll Furrell brace but it wasn’t enough.

Real Barston 4 Khalsa Reserves 0
A Matthew Gillett brace and one from Robert Jolly , assisted by an own goal were enough here as Barston leapfrog Ettington.

We move on to Division 3

Bishops Tachbrook FC 7 Princethorpe 0
Bishops continue their unbeaten League run with this demolition of Princethorpe. This one was “The Adam Knight show” as the youngster slotted home all seven. It didn’t include the fastest goal of the day though, as it took 5 minutes before he got his first. It was all finished by 55 minutes. This repeats a feat Knight completed in the 2015-16 season when playing for Cubbington Albion. Bishops sit pretty at the Top of the Table.

Harbury 5 Hampton Magna 2
Another 5 minute strike this time from Lewis Waite. A Conor Smith brace , James Hancocks and Ben Sharman doing the damage. Ashley Turnbull and Sunil Nand grabbing the Magna consolations.

Liberal Club C 1 VTS Warwick 1
Fastest goal of the day here and it went to Matthew Bemrose on 2 minutes. It looked like the points were going to the Liberals until Thomas Scott popped up with 11 minutes to go to equalise.

Warwick Printing 1 Chadwick End 3
Cory Turner had put the Printers ahead with a first half strike, but Chadwick took control in the second half with a Niall Grace hat-trick in a 25 minute spell.

We move on to Division 4

Blackdown 2 Lillington Juniors Reserves 3
Blackdown left stunned here as the leaders were put to the sword by a David Jones hat-trick. Ashley Bradbrook got both Blackdown goals but the points went home to Lillington. Blackdown still need points to wrap up the Title.

Chadwick End Reserves 4 Stockton United 7

United take the points here in the battle for second spot thanks to a hat-trick from Will Wall, a brace from Mitch Coleman and goals from Jon Patton and Kody Neal.
