All the results and goals from this weekend.

Weekly Round-up for Sunday 5 February 2023. Another busy programme this week and as usual we start off with the Cup competitions.

We start with The Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 22-23 - Round 3

Long Itchington 3 Stockton 0
It was the late late show here as Stockton from Division 4 put up a fight. It remained goalless until the last twelve minutes when Bradley Allibone scored twice in three minutes to break the Stockton resistance and Sam Crawford then added a third with four minutes to go. The Long Men progress into the next round

On to the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Cup 22-23 - Round 1
Engine FC 0 Pig and Fiddle 5

One way traffic here as Jason Thompson led the way with a brace. Pedro Fernanades, Sam Perry and Conor Smith also added to take Pig and Fiddle into the next round.

Khalsa 0 Bishops Itchington 2
Two second half goals from Luke Cole just after the break and Kyle Watkin with twenty minutes to go were enough here to take Bishops through and into the next round. Khalsa go into the supplementary Cup.

On to the George Dutton Charity Invitation Cup 22-23 - Round 1
Ettington Rovers 0 Real Barston 3

Ettington were under the cosh from the off here and found themselves two down after only ten minutes . Darius Potten-Ravenshad and Tom Finflay the scorers. That’s how it stayed until fifteen minutes from the end when Kieran Leyland popped up to stick one away to make it three and take Barston into the next round.

Now to the George Dutton Charity Invitation Cup 22-23 - Round 2
Heathcote Athletic 1 Khalsa Reserves 1

An early strike by James Bye had given Heathcote the advantage but Aamanveer Binning had Khalsa all square just before the break. The second half remained tight and goalless so it went to penalty kicks.
Khalsa Reserves win 4 - 5 on penalties.

On to the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Supplementary Cup 22-23 - Round 1
Princethorpe 2 Southam Sporting 2

Another tight one here as Keir Wood and Ethan White scored for Sporting and two replies had Princethorpe level at full time. So to Penalty kicks and Southam Sporting win 4 - 5 on penalties and progress into the next round.

The Holly Bush 2 AFC Snitterfield 3
A late surge by Holly Bush had Snitterfield on the ropes but they held on to progress. Reese Sangha and Max Harvey had given Snitterfield a first half lead. Just past the hour mark and Harry Jones added a third. Holly Bush then came on strong and with fifteen minutes to go James Duffy scored to give them hope. Nine minutes later and Niall Thoms added another and the last five minutes were exciting as Holly Bush looked for the equalise and Snitterfield held on to go into the next round.

We move on to League action now and start as usual with Division 1
Leamington Hibernian 4 HRI Harbury 2

Connor Farrell on form here with a hat-trick and Tom Hitchcox adding the other for Hib’s. Vitor Machado getting a brace to keep the veg boys in it but Farrell finished it off with two strikes late on.

We move on to Division 2

Whitnash Town AFC 1 AFC Warwick 1
A tight one here and it ended one apiece. Brodie Culinan with the late equaliser for Whitnash after Thomas Thwaites-Miles had put Warwick ahead after only ten minutes.

And on to Division 3

Cubbington FC 3 Kenilworth Royal Oak 1
Cubbington took a two goal advantage into the second half after goals from Ben Rowan and Luke Swinnerton . The second half was tight until the hour mark. Jack Cooper pulled one back for the Oak, but straight from the kick off it went down the other end for Alexander Montag to restore the two goal advantage and that’s how it finished.

Hampton Magna 5 Wellesbourne Wanderers 2
Fastest goal of the day here for Matthew Hughes after two minutes to put Magna ahead. Alexander Rea had Wellesbourne level fifteen minutes later. On the half hour mark Ashley Dutton restored the Magna advantage and then on the stroke of half time Ryan Leahy extended the lead from the penalty spot. Joel Giblin pulled one back for Wellesbourne on the hour mark, but Hughes struck again ten minutes later and Joe Williams rounded it all off with four minutes left. Magna looking good for the Title run in.

Kineton Sports & Social Club 2 Cubbington Albion 3 Albion stay at the Top of the Table but it’s a close one. Stewart Phillips and Brayden Herdman on the mark for Kineton meant they were always in the fight. Cubbington took the points with Billy Gatfield, a Daniel Bates spot kick and the winner from Freddie Finn with fifteen minutes to go. With Hampton Magna breathing down their necks it’s getting interesting at the Top.

We finish as usual with Division 4

Foresters 0 Long Itchington Reserves 4
A brace from Kieran Seager supported by singles from Will Bradbury and Braedyn Collins were enough here as the Long Men continue their push for Honours.

HRI Harbury Reserves 0 Bowling Green 3
Bowling Green take the points here.

Wellesbourne Wanderers Reserves 0 Whitnash Sports and Social Club 5
Whitnash in charge here. Paulo Mota led the way with a brace. Matty Goodwin,
Louis Todd and Mike Aulak with the others keeping Whitnash involved at the Top of the Table.
