All the results and goals from this weekend.

Weekly Round-up for Sunday 2 February 2020. Plenty of action this week despite yet more rain we still got some games on! We start as usual with the Cup Competitions and this week it’s the Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 2019-20 - Round 2

Napton 2 Warwick Boar 5

The Boar are still chasing a Treble this Season and made short work of Napton but it was tight until late on. Nicholas Lanau-Atkinson put the Boar ahead on 21 minutes and James Bramwell made it 2 – 0 at 40 minutes. Taylor Allen pulled one back for Napton just before the break. Napton tails were up and they levelled 10 minutes into the second half through Liam Southwick. Boar stepped up a gear and in 12 minutes had closed the game out. Bramwell stuck in his second. James Williams and Adam Edwards then put another two goals away in a 2 minute spell. Boar go into the hat for the next round. Treble hopes still alive.

The Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 2019-20 - Round 3

Khalsa 0 Bishops Itchington 5

Bishops march into the next round of the Cup with a comprehensive win here over their Div 1 rivals. A brace apiece for new signing Kamalpreet Sangha and Thomas O’Callaghan with Johnny Adair added the odd one.

We move on to Divisional Cup action now.

Division 2 Cup 2019-20, sponsored by friends of Rowan Fitzgerald - Semi-Final

Long Itchington 5 Lillington Juniors 0

Long Itchington are through to the Division 2 Cup Final with a comprehensive win here over Juniors. Elliott Parasmo , Jamie Bodfish , Reese Sangha and a brace from Sam Crawford doing the damage


We now go to the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Supplementary Cup 2019-20 - Round 1

Castle Rangers 3 Khalsa Reserves 4

The score was deadlocked here at Half Time. A goal apiece . Ricky Uppal putting Khalsa ahead and John Hampton levelling just before the break. Khalsa stuck two away through Munreece Virdi and Imran Bhayat within 20 minutes of the re-start. George Green pulled one back for Rangers 2 minutes later. Connor Beckinsale then added another Khalsa goal with 15 minutes left on the clock. Lee Watton grabbed a third for Rangers with 4 minutes to go but Khalsa held on to go into the next round.

On to the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Cup 2019-20 - Round 2

Real Barston 3 Warwick Printing 0

The Printers were undone here by a two minute second half spell. The first half was tight and the sides were separated by a lone James McDowell strike giving Barston the advantage. The Printers wheel fell off in the 63rd minute when Ben Wheeler scored and two minutes later William Hodgkinson also stuck one away. Barston kept it tight and cruise into the next round.


We move on to League action now and as usual we start with Division 1

Westlea Wanderers 12 (Twelve) Heathcote Athletic 0

Fastest goal of the day and highest score here. Josh Cole got things underway in the 2nd minute. Adam Knight had added with another in 5 minutes. It was all one way traffic. Knight ended up scoring 5 (five), Cole grabbed a hat-trick. Ciaran Houston bagged a brace. Elliott Powell and Jamie Coleman got the others. Westlea are now clear at the Top of the Table.


We move on to Division 2

Ettington Rovers 2 Radford Albion 3

Albion were 0 – 2 up by half time. Ettington stormed back early in the second half with two goals in 3 minutes. It took a late strike from Jamie Lee with 12 minutes left to seal the points for Albion who squeeze up to Bishops Tachbrook at the Top of the Table. Luke Swinson with the early Albion goals. Jordan Robinson and Carl Taylor with the Ettington strikes


On to Division 3

Blackdown 2 Liberal Club C 0

Brad Taylor and Joshua Shirley the marksmen for Blackdown. Two first half goals were enough here to take the points. Blackdown sit atop the tree but Dynamo have games in hand.


Princethorpe 3 VTS Warwick 1

An Ed Spencer brace and one from Paul Sidaway were enough here as Princethorpe move up to third spot.

And we finish as usual with Division 4

Bishops Tachbrook Reserves 8 (eight) Stockton Utd 2

Kody Neal and Adam Thomas with the Utd consolations . Craig Williams led the Tachbrook charge with a hat-trick. The others were shared between Douglas Reeves , Samuel Lawton , Christopher Wilding, Louis Todd and Perrie Brown.

Whitnash United 1 Long Itchington Res 0

Whitnash retain their 100% record and close the gap at the Top of the Table and still have games in hand. Rhys Bufton with the only goal of the game on 32 minutes
