Latest Weekly Round-up.

Highlights of this weeks action including the Cancer Cup Final.

We start this week with the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Cup 17-18 – Final, held at Leamington Football ground.

Radford Semele 0 Westlea Wanderers 4
Westlea secured their first silverware of the season, with a comfortable victory in the Cancer Cup Final, at a very hot and sunny Leamington FC this afternoon. Joe Wright opened the scoring on 16 minutes, after Adam Knight's initial shot came back off the keeper. Three minutes later, and the lead was doubled. Michael Ellis finishing neatly, after a good 1-2 with Knight. Substitute Ciaran Houston made it 3-0 on half time, after a Ryan Billington header forward, from a Neil Stacey goal kick. The game was wrapped up with 9 minutes to play, with Ciaran Houston grabbing his second, which curled past the keeper from inside the box

Division 2
Real Barston 3 Dynamo Leamington 1.

A boost for the Real Boys here in their push for Div 2 Honours. It didn’t start off so well when Ash Rowley put the visitors ahead on 15 minutes. Oliver Stocks equalised before half time and then a second half brace from Matthew Gillett sealed the points.

Division 4

Stockton United 3 Lillington Juniors Reserves 2
A tight one here but two late goals from Petko Velikov and Mark Hickey were not enough as Kody Neal , Matthew Fearn and Mitchell Coleman struck for United.

Warwick Printing 2 Long Itchington 2
A brace from Harvey White kept The Long men at bay in this tense mid-table clash. Samuel Crawford and Joshua Marshall for the Printers.

Whitnash United 0 Kineton S&SC 8 (eight)
A hat –trick in eight minutes for Connell Farrell, and a hat-trick in 3 minutes for James Keller! An own goal along with a single from LIam Naven-Jones keeps the pressure on the Leaders Barley Mow .

Division 2
Leamington FC Veterans 5 Khalsa Reserves 1

The Vets are still eyeing up runners up spot and this will do them no harm. A James Canning brace supported by Paul Lee, Philip Davies and Ross Jackson getting the goals

We continue with the League and Cup action from today. As usual we start with the Cup games.
Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Supplementary Cup 17-18 - Semi-Final

Real Barston 0 Bishops Itchington 2
The Difference in Divisions wasn’t much here but Bishops had too much for Barston in the end . Jason Bradshaw and Josh Turton grabbed the goals. Another Final for the Bishops who must be having the Season of a lifetime for the Club.

Leamington Referees' Association Andy Campbell Challenge Cup 17-18 - Semi-Final
Heathcote Athletic 4 AFC Warwick 2

An upset here as AFC looked to continue their successful season with another Cup Final, but Heathcote were up to the task and deserved to win. John Aston , Sam Plumb, James Provett and Neil Ingles on target for Heathcote . Daniel Long and Joshua Remi getting the AFC goals.

Division 1

HRI Wellesbourne 3 Warwick Cavern 4
A real ding dong game here as the Veg boys went 2-0 down after 18 minutes, via Scott Hughes and Jamie Saunders . Vitor Machado pulled one back just after half time but Adam Hughs bagged Cavern a third. Samuel Pye gave Wellesbourne hope and Machado grabbed an equaliser with 15 minutes to go. In the dying seconds Stacey Ellis popped up to steal the points for Cavern.

Division 2
Mid-Warwickshire Police 0 Khalsa reserves 8 (eight)

The Cops were outplayed here . Tunde Ajibade helped himself to a hat-trick. The rest were shared out between Ryan Butler , Morgan Genthialon , Andy Cahill and a David Benton brace. The Cops look to be out of the hunt for Runners up spot now.

Radford Albion 2 Leamington FC Veterans 5
Sion Humphries and Jamie Lee on taerget for Albion. Braces from James Canning and Ross Jackson with a single from Philip Davies doing the damage here.

Division 3
Ettington Rovers 9 (nine) Hampton Magna 1.

Magna struck first via Taylor Hartwell. Then the Rovers moved into goal scoring mode and notched 9 without reply. Charles Reynolds and James Lee each grabbed a hat-trick. Kristian Fenwick , Ashley Brammer and Matthew Toms got the others.


Royal Oak United 8 (eight) Liberal Club C 1

Michael Glover also on the hat-trick trail here, Josh Goodwin a brace, Wesley Klopper , Kyle Gibson and Nic Tomes the others as Liberal club were well beaten by the table toppers Thomas Gayton stole the consolation for Liberals.

Division 4
Castle Rangers 1 Kineton Sports and Social Club 5

Kineton continue the push for the title and with games in hand all is looking good. Another good win here against mid-table opposition. Paul Saunders with a late consolation for Rangers but the daage had already been done. James Keller on the hat-trick trail, supported by Jamie Vadasz nand Connell Farrell .

Lillington Juniors Reserves 4 Warwick Boar 2.
Braces each for David Jones and Mark Hickey earning the points for Juniors . Michael Byrne and Daniel Masters getting the goals for Boar.

Warwick Printing 2 Princethorpe 4
It was all the two’s here! Jake McCarthy-Phillips grabbed two for the Printers. But two wasn’t enough as two from Princethorpe also got two! Charles Bush and Jack Fraser also got a brace each to take the points back to Princethorpe. '


Whitnash United 2 Long Itchington 5

Abhishek Paul and an own goal for United. Neil Milburn and braces from Samuel Crawford and Michael Clement doing the damage for the Long Men.
