Weekly Round up

All the results and goals from Week 2

Week 2 and our weekly round-up for Sunday 12th September 2021 starts as usual in Division 1.
Bishops Itchington 2 Long Itchington 1

Bishops take the points but it’s only down to a 90th minute winner from Johnny Adair who had put Bishops in front after 10 minutes. The Long Men kept it tight and levelled through Bradley Allbone with less than 30 minutes to go, before Adair pounced.

Leamington FC Vets 1 HRI Wellesbourne 1
Martin Hutchcox on target for the Vet’s and Aaron Ellard with the Veg boys strike on 78 minutes.

Leamington Hibernian 2 Heathcote Athletic 1
All the goals coming in a frantic 15 minute second half spell. David Jones and Kurt Parsons put Hibs 2 – 0 up by 66 minutes, but Heathcote pulled one back through Kristoffer Burbury four minutes later to make for an interesting last 20 minutes.

We move on to Division 2
Engine FC 3 AFC Warwick 1

The Engine appear to be back firing on all cylinders again. George Edgington, Charlie Cleaver and Jordan Simpson on target for Engine. Marco Oliver with the first half equaliser before Engine sparked into life in the second half.

Khalsa Reserves 3 Dynamo Leamington 1
Another 3 – 1 result and the same scenario. Lewis Timms had put Khalsa ahead on 17 minutes , followed by Paul Rose pulling one back for Dynamo 5 minutes later. A brace from Charlie Watts in a late 10 minute spell then took the points for Khalsa.

Princethorpe 4 Radford Albion 5
A real ding dong game here as the goals poured in. It went 1 – 1 through Jake Allies-Proctor for Princethorpe , and Sion Humphries for Radford. Six minutes later and it was 2 – 2 ! Allies-Proctor again on target for Princethorpe , this time the Radford reply coming from Brodie Culinan. Just before half time Robert Spillane popped up to put Radford in front at the break. The second half burst into life again on the hour mark, when two quick goals from Culinan for his second and Barry Hobbins extended the Radford advantage. Princethorpe were not finished and in a five minute flourish pulled themselves back into it with Allies-Proctor getting his hat-trick and Cameron Anderson getting in on the act. With ten minutes to go Radford held on to take the points.

Real Barston 2 Chadwick End 4
A brace each for Terrance Morton and James Brady were enough here for Chadwick to see off Barston. Gareth Davies and Matt Gillett with the Barston strikes.

We move on to Division 3
Foresters 1 Cubbington FC 5

A Will Mander strike was the only consolation here as Cubbington took control. The Cubbington goals were shared around through Louis Boote, Jack Gibson , Luke Swinnerton, Jake Montgomery and Sam Ashford.

Kenilworth Royal Oak 1 Napton 1
New boys Royal Oak took the lead here in the first half through Max Webb. It took a penalty on the hour mark from Aaron Whitmore to get Napton level and that’s how it stayed.

Radford Semele Social Club 2 Harbury 2
Another score draw here and a game of two halves. Paul Wilkinson and David Ramsey had given Radford a 2 – 0 lead early into the second half, and two late goals from Ruben Bastos and Leon Underhill grabbed a point for Harbury.

Sporting Foresters 2 Leamington Hibs Reserves 7
Hibs on the goal trail again this week. A Daniel Eykyn brace for the Woodmen was brushed aside with a brace apiece for Scott Hammond and Charlie Fitzmaurice. James Hancocks, Daniel Wilkinson and Harry Davies on target for the others.

Warwick Printing 3 Hampton Magna 1
Matty Bemrose had pulled magna back in with a shout with 15 minutes left on the clock. Conor Smith had put the Printers in front on 20 minutes. It looked like a point each until two very late strikes in the last two minutes nicked the points for the Printers. Jason Thompson and Smith with his second doing the damage.

And we finish off with Division 4
Bulldog 3 Kenilworth Wardens 4

Mark Hickey and Abhishek Paul gave Bulldog a great start 2 – 0 up in 20 minutes. Toby Wells grabbed one back ten minutes later only for Hickey to restore the two goal advantage from the spot 2 minutes later. Wardens then dominated the last 20 minutes and stuck three away without reply from Harrison Wright, Ethan Price and Wells for his second on 89 minutes to take the points for the Wardens.

HRI Wellesbourne Reserves 3 Whitnash Sports and Social Club 0
Luke Sangha , James Williams and Andy Tomlin the Veg boys marksmen to take all the points back to Wellesbourne

Long Itchington Reserves 4 Southam Sporting 0
New boys Southam put to the sword here by a Reece Sangha hat-trick inside 30 minutes, his first goal was the fastest goal of the day on 5 minutes. Followed by a William Morby goal just before half time. The second half remained goal less .

Sporting Club de Stratford 0 Cubbington Albion 4
Another new club put to the sword here as Cubbington scored four without reply. The pick of the bunch from Dan Bates with an overhead kick. Lawrence Peach struck a brace and Billy Gatfield scored the last in stoppage time.

Stockton 0 Wellesbourne Wanderers 0
That very rare commodity, the goal less Sunday League draw here. The Wellesbourne youngsters showing some style and fight.
