Weekly Round up. 25/09/22

All the results and goals from today.

Weekly round-up for Sunday 25 September 2022. We have League and Cup action so we start as usual with the cups and the first is:

The Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 22-23 - Preliminary Round

HRI Harbury 4 Chadwick End 1

HRI go through to the first round after this display. Luke Sangha led the way with a brace, Charlie Mitchell and Craig Setchell getting the others. Thomas Wale had put Chadwick in front on the half hour mark.

We move on to the Division 2 Cup 22-23, sponsored by friends of Rowan Fitzgerald - Preliminary Round

Khalsa Reserves 1 Leamington Hibs Rerserves 5

Scott Hammond had Hibs in front after ten minutes, and added his second fifteen minutes later. Harry Mckay added a third on the half hour. Hammond got his hat trick after the break. Luke Warby popped up to pull one back for Khalsa but McKay wrapped it up with ten minutes to go. Hibs go into the first round.

And we move to the Division 4 Cup 22-23, sponsored by Spa Trophies - Preliminary Round

Newbold 5 Balsall and Berkswell 2

A goal in each half wasn’t enough for the Hornets here as Newbold were in control after three goals in the first twenty two minutes. Jordan Bedford with a brace and Joe Wright getting the goals. Adam Coles added a fourth on the half hour mark. Liam Tarver scored for the Hornets just before the break. Josh Lowe pulled a second back on the hour mark. Bedford then grabbed his hat-trick to finish it off.

Stockton 2 Long Itchington Reserves 2

Nip and tuck here with a goal apiece in each half. John Ahearne put Stockton ahead only for Sam Tidy to level a minute later. Will Bradbury then gave the Long Men the advantage but Sam Rose made it all square with five minutes to go.

Stockton win three nil on penalties and progress into the next round.

Wellesbourne Wanderers Reserves 7 HRI Harbury Reserves 1

Dawid Peplkinski grabbed his first goal here after only seven minutes and completed his haul (four) with eight minutes to go. Dylan Cook, Oliver Quirke and Charlie Southall-Webb getting the others. James Smith with the veg boys consolation on the half hour mark. Wellesbourne Reserves go into the next round.

We move on to League action and we start as usual with Division 1.

Bishops Itchington 0 Khalsa 4

A Ryan Sahota hat trick led the way here and Andrew Hood also on target completed the scoring.

Long Itchington 6 Engine FC 2

Matthew Elliot gave Engine a great start after only three minutes with the second fastest goal of the day but it was never going to be enough, as a hat-trick for Bradley Allibone led the Long Men comeback. A Mark Larner brace and another from Elliott Parasmo were too much. Jordan Simpson got the second Engine strike just past the hour mark.

We move on to Division 2

AFC Warwick 0 Dynamo Leamington 6

Another hat-trick here this one for Lee Watton. Ashley Rowley chipped in with a brace. Fergus Laird with the final finish with two minutes to go. Dynamo continue their great start to the season.

Ettington Rovers 1 Heathcote Athletic 3

James Proctor with a first half brace, the first after only four minutes. Kristoffer Burbury made it three with twelve minutes to go. Matt Toms netted for Ettington but with only ten minutes to go it was too little too late.

Pig and Fiddle 8 Princethorpe 0

All one way traffic here as Pig and Fiddle start their League campaign. Conor Smith with an amazing haul (four goals) in a fifteen minute spell. Macauley Withey, Pedro Fernanades and a brace from Jason Thompson doing the damage.

We move on to Division 3

Cubbington Albion 2 Wellesbourne Wanderers 2

A goal in each half from Aaron Mobley wasn’t enough as Billy Gatfield and Ryan Yearsley also scored to keep it all square for Cubbington

Kenilworth Royal Oak 4 Kineton Sports and Social Club 1
Another hat-trick here from William Harte. Jacob Varney with the other Oak strike. Brayden Herdman with the Kineton consolation.

Kenilworth Wardens 2 Cubbington FC 0
A Dan Twigger strike in the first half and a Harry Morris goal on the stroke of full time were enough here for the Wardens.

Napton 1 Hampton Magna 5
Fastest goal of the day here in the first minute from Aaron Dickens. Mark Hickey added another for Magna before the break. Aiden Print pulled one back just before the break. Hickey got his second just past the hour mark, late goals from Dickens and Adam Hooper sealed the points.

Sporting Foresters 0 Real Barston 2

A goal in each half werev enough here for Barston to take the points. Christopher Gould and Benjamin Valatka the marksmen.

We finish as usual with Division 4

AFC Snitterfield 4 The Builders 0

Snitterfield scorers were Oluseyi Sorinola, Thierry Richards and a brace from Talib Kargbo. A good win for Snitterfiels against fellow new boys The Builders.

Bowling Green 2 Whitnash Sports and Social Club 1

Claudio Ovington had bagged a brace and the winning goals in the first twenty minutes here. Paulo Mota with the first half reply but Bowling green held on.

Foresters 2 Southam Sporting 3

Lewis Timms and Shamir Entezar on the mark for Foresters. Harley Francis, Joshua Thomas made it all square for Sporting and Jack Mason popped up for the winner with five minutes left on the clock.
