League stalwart passes away.

Arnold W Rouse has died.


It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Arnold W Rouse. Arnold passed away yesterday .
Arnold Rouse was known locally as a great supporter and stalwart of local football. Arnold served on the Committee of the Leamington and District Sunday Football League for over 5 years , then he served as Vice Chairman from 1977 to 1983, and then served as Chairman from 1983 to 1987. He was then President of the League for many years and in 2008 he was elected a Life Member.
Arnold was also heavily involved with refereeing and in 2006 he had a book published
"From the Past to the Future: The History of Leamington and District Referees' Association 1921-2006"
The Chairman of Leamington Referees Association, Martin Gittins said:
“It is with great sadness that I have to email you this evening to inform you that Arnold Rouse, a former committee member, secretary, chairman, president and stalwart of the Leamington RA passed away this morning.

Arnold was a huge supporter of the Leamington RA, it’s members and local football and will be a huge loss to all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time”.
