All the results and goals from this week's action

Weekly Round-up for Sunday 8 December 2019. We start as usual with the Cup games and this week that means the
Division 3 Cup 2019-20, sponsored by Nick Chambers in memory of his father Chris - Semi-Final

Engine FC 2 Chadwick End Reserves 1

A close one here as a Cup Semi-Final should be! George Edgington put the Engine in front on 10 minutes but Chadwick had levelled before half time through Scott Wallis. With only 10 minutes left on the clock Gavin Dhesi popped up to restore the Engine lead. They held on to the end and The Engine steam into the Division 3 Cup Final.

Leamington Referees' Association George Dutton Challenge Cup 2019-20 - Round 1

Leamington FC Vet’s 6 Leamington Hibs Reserves 0

The Vet’s had just too much for the youngsters here, as the Division 3 side battled the Division 1 Vet’s. James Keller led the way with a hat-trick. Ross Jackson bagged a brace and Ros Brown got the other . The Vet’s go into the hat for the next round.

We move on to League matches now and we start with Division 1

Khalsa 5 HRI Wellesbourne 2

The Veg boys were undone here as Sukh Nijjar helped himself to four goals with Jake Shattock getting the other . Goals from Greg Eales and John Denny pulled it back to 3 – 2 with 20 minutes to go but Nijjar scored twice in the last 5 minutes to seal the points for Khalsa.

Westlea Wanderers 5 AFC Warwick 1

Fastest goal of the day for Jamie Coleman here on 6 minutes, followed by an Adam knight hat-trick in 28 minutes which include the second fastest goal of the day on 7 minutes, and a single strike from Craig Watkin gave Westlea the three points here. Kayembe Lwaba was the AFC marksman with a strike just before half time. All the goals coming in the first half.

We move on to Division 2

Radford Albion 2 Hampton Magna 0

A Sion Humphries double was enough here for Albion to take the points. With a goal in each half without reply Radford are closing on the Top Three in the Table.

Real Barston 2 Bishops Tachbrook 3

This was a Nip and Tuck affair. Matthew Gillett put the home side ahead after 10 minutes. Shamir Entezar made it all square 5 minutes later. Drew –Lewis Smith then put Bishops in front just before the break. Lewis Timms then added another shortly after the re-start to give Bishops a two goal cushion. With 15 minutes left, up popped Ben Wheeler for Real to make it 2 – 3 and an interesting last few minutes. Bishops held on to take the points. Bishops stay Top of the pile, and despite their performance Real stay rooted to the foot of the Table.

We move on to Division 3

VTS Warwick 2 Snitterfield 1

Goals from Lee Gold and Luke Barnes were enough to take the points for VTS here.

Warwick Printing 1 Princethorpe 5

Tom Hills on target for the Printers consolation here. Jake Allies-Proctor and new signing Bradfor Kayla with a brace apiece for Princethorpe and another new boy George Jones also on target to round off the scoring .

We finish as usual in Division 4

Foresters 2 Stockton 2

Stockton drop two valuable points here as Josh Marshall snatched a 60th minute equaliser to give Foresters a share of the points. Jordan Bedford and Ryan Barnard had managed a goal each to make it 1 – 1 after 15 minutes. An own goal then gave Stockton the lead shortly before half-time. Marshall then popped up with his late finish.

HRI Wellesbourne Res 3 Bishops Tachbrook Reserves 0
Jack White scored the first for the Veg boys on 17 minutes. Two second half strikes from Oliver Vaughan wrapped up the points for HRI .

Long Itchington Reserves 1 Castle Rangers 4

Lee Watton with an early strike put Rangers ahead here. Mark Larner pulled it level on 35 minutes but a George Green Penalty restored Rangers lead just before half-time. It stayed tight until Arundeep Sodhi stuck one away on 77 minutes followed 2 minutes later by a second goal from Watton to give Rangers a clear win and all 3 points.
