Latest Weekly Round-up.

This weeks highlights including the mid-week games.

We start this week’s round-up with some mid-week games. Starting with a thriller in Division 4.

Tuesday 10 April 2018
Division 4
Castle Rangers 5 Warwick Printing 6

Rangers took a 2-0 lead through Tim Jacob and Jake Allies-Proctor. Kyle King pulled one back for the Printers, BUT Jacob struck again and then Jonathon Capp also added for Rangers to make it 4 - 1. It took 14 second half minutes to turn the game on its head. A brace each for Jake McCarthy Phillips and Terry Bayliss in that 14 minute spell added to by Hayden Barnett two minutes later took the score to 4 – 6 to the Printers. Daniel Hargreaves snatched one back on 68 minutes but the Printers held on. '

Steven Edden and a brace from Sergiu Spac doing the damage here'

Division 2
Dynamo Leamington 2 AFC Warwick 4

Aaron Rowley struck early for the Dynamo’s but AFC replied three times before half time through Dan Long. Dan Nash and Ricky Barby. Raymond Nsemwa pulled Dynamo back into it but Dan Long bagged another late on to seal the points. AFC continue their unbeaten League run and look odds on for the title now.

Division 4
Kineton S&SC 8 Warwick Boar 0

A brace each for Connell Farrell and Liam Naven-Jones, supported by James Mair , James Keller and Mitchell Keyes doing the damage here against Boar who were playing their second game in two days!

So we move on to this weekend’s action and starting as usual with the Cup Competitions.

Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Cup 17-18 - Semi-Final

Radford Semele 3 Warwick Printing 0
Radford Semele were leading here 3 – 0 with 65 minutes gone when a serious injury caused play to be halted. Warwick Printing capitulated and the tie is awarded to Radford Semele.

Kineton S&SC 1 Ettington Rovers 4
Ettington were too strong for Kineton in this one. A brace from Jordan Lewis and strikes from Oliver Stephens and Jordan Pearce were enough as Kineton pulled a consolation back on 70 minutes through Vadasz.

Real Barston 2 Dynamo Leamington 0

A Dave Jolly brace was enough here for Barston to go through.

Leamington Referees' Association Andy Campbell Challenge Cup 17-18 - Round 2
AFC Warwick 3 Mid-Warwickshire Police 2

Favourites AFC were left stunned after two goals in the first 15 minutes put the Cops ahead. A Jimmy Quinlan diving header at the far post started things off followed by a Jimmy Gethins close finish. AFC took control and returned three of their own before half time .A Ricky Barby brace and one from Dan Long were enough. The second half was a battle of attrition and although the Cops held on AFC were resilient at the back.


HRI Wellesbourne 3 Hampton Magna 1

A George Crawford brace and another from Jonny Timms were enough to see off Magna who had Ash Turnbull to thank for the consolation.

So we move on to League Action and start as usual in Division 1.

Division 1
Bishops Itchington 3 Khalsa 1

A Johnny Adair brace and a single from Jason Bradshaw were enough here . Anvinder Thiara with the Khalsa consolation. Bishops are looking good for Runners Up spot with 5 games in hand over nearest rivals Hibs and Khalsa.


Warwick Cavern 1 Westlea Wanderers 6

Matt Saunders put Cavern ahead on 16 minutes but that only served to wake Westlea up. A hat-trick from Tom Friend, with support from Neil Stacey, Ryan Billington and Craig Watkin doing the damage. Westlea remain at the top of the table.

Division 2
Heathcote Athletic 5 Radford Albion 1

A Joe Graham hat-trick with others from Chris Collier and Nick Keenan were too much for Albion, who had a Dan Riley 80th minute consolation strike.

Khalsa Reserves 2 Leek Wootton 2
Morgan Genthialon and Rheece Cleary on target for Khalsa matched by a Thomas Griffith brace for Leek Wootton.

Division 3
Grist Mill 2 Lillington Juniors 3

Ryan Knotts and Karl McGuire on target for the Millars.

Division 4
Lillington Juniors Reserves 2 Stockton 2

A Jamie Byrne brace for Lillington matched by Alexander Boulden and Calvin Farrar .

Princethorpe 1 Long Itchington 1
A tight game here . Both goals in the first half. Charles Bush pulling Princethorpe back into it after Todd Howarth had put the Long men in front.

Stockton United 3 Barley Mow 10 (ten)
Barley Mow always in control here. Jami Walker got 4, Ricardo Benjamin a hat-trick, a brace from Chris Young and the odd one from Ben Allen

Warwick Boar 4 Joiners Arms 1
A tremendous result here considering this was the third game this week for the Boar. It may have been against lowly Joiners but a good result. William Webster-Wall grabbed a brace, Michael Byrne and Alex Badger the others. Hugo Fernandes got the joiners consolation.
