All the goals and the results from this weeks matches

We start our Weekly Round-up for Sunday 7 April 2019 with the Division 2 Cup Final sponsored by Rye Hill Service Station.

HRI Wellesbourne 3 Dynamo Leamington 0
Guy Allen got things underway here with the fastest goal of the Day. Dale Francis whipped a cracker of a corner into the box where Allen rose like a Salmon to ram his header into the net. Dynamo stood and watched. The pressure was all one way for 10 minutes until Dynamo woke up. The Veg boys always looked dangerous on the break and the long through balls were causing havoc to the Dynamo defence. Dynamo had some promising forays but the Veg boys defence were never in trouble. It remained 1 – 0 at Half Time. The second half saw Dynamo push forward more but despite the extra possession they never looked like breaking down the HRI defence. Ten minutes into the second half and Greg Eales doubled the lead. Following good work down the line from Kevin Dineen, Allen headed back across goal where Eales was unmarked and headed goalwards only to see the header rebound off the bar, but Eales gobbled up the rebound easily. It was Eales and Allen again for the third. Eales sweeping the Allen cross home for his second. Dynamo continued to battle but HRI always looked in control and deserved the win.

We move on to League Action now and we start with Division 1
Khalsa 1 Bishops Itchington 2

Khalsa lose ground on the Top two here as Bishops start to collect the points from games in hand. Khalsa took the leak through Dave Benton early on and it was only just before half time when Tom O'Callaghan levelled. O'Callaghan popped up to get his brace with 15 minutes left to take the points back to the village.

Leamington Hibernians 0 Radford Semele 1
Hibs slipped up here and stay in second spot, as Radford take the points with a late strike from Matthew Buckham .

We move on to Division 2

Ettington Rovers 4 Kineton Sports and Social Club 2
With HRI Wellesbourne on Cup duty Kineton had a chance to extend their advantage at the Top of the Table. Ettington were not taking things easy though. James Lees , Glen Matthew and Jordan Robinson had put Ettington ahead before Connoll Furrell grabbed a brace to put Kineton back in it. Robinson shut the door with his second with 2 minutes to go. HRI are now back on track for a League and Cup Double.

Heathcote Athletic 1 Radford Albion 2
A good mid table tussle here where Heathcote went ahead through James Carro on the half hour . Radford bounced back in the second half through Sion Humphreys and Houghton Paul to take the points.

Real Barston 1 Leamington FC Vets 1
The Vets are still in third spot, but this was a tight one. Paul Holland put the visitors ahead with a spot kick on 35 minutes. Matthew Gillett levelled just after half-time and that’s how it stayed.

We move on to Division 3

Liberal Club C 2 Castle Rangers 2
Liberal Club back in form, but a great point for Castle Rangers. It was tit for tat as Lee Watton put Rangers ahead, only for Matty Bemrose to level a minute later. Adam Short then put one away for Liberals to give them the advantage only for Matt Wix to stick a Penalty away to make it all square with 25 minutes left. That’s how it stayed.

Warwick Printing 1 Bishops Tachbrook 4
Connor Kenny got the Printers consolation here, but young Adam Knight had done the damage. Knight grabbed another hat-trick to add to this seasons tally and one from Lewis Christian safely took the points home for Bishops who barring a miracle have sealed the Title with three games left to play.

And Finally Division 4

HRI Wellesbourne Reserves 0 Chadwick End Reserves 5 Chadwick maintain the pressure cooker at the Top of the Division with a comfortable win at the Veg Boys. With a brace apiece from Thomas Tarbuck and Steve Ebdon assisted by a single from Scott Wallis the Title is still open.

Blackdown with a week off remain Top but with only 2 games remaining they need points to seal the Title win.
