Weekly Round up. 18/09/22

All the results and goals from today.

Weekly round-up for Sunday 18 September 2022. It’s week 3 and we resume after the pause for reflection following the death of The Queen.
We start as usual with the one cup match and that’s the Division 3 Cup 22-23, sponsored by Nick Chambers, in memory of his father Chris - Preliminary Round

Napton 0 Cubbington Albion 6
Cubbington Albion go into the next round of the Cup after a comprehensive win at Napton. Ross Quartermaine led the way with a brace. Luca Cardellino, Billy Gatfield, Harry Taylor and Ryan Yearsley getting the others.

We move on to Division 1
Chadwick End 1 Leamington Hib’s 2

Chadwick took a first half lead here but Hib’s came back with two late goals to nick the points. Sam Davis with the Chadwick opener. David Jones with the equaliser ten minutes from time and Craig Wallsgrove bagged the winner three minutes into stoppage time.

Engine FC 2 Khalsa 1
Another three goal thriller here as Khalsa took the lead through Ryan Sahota just before the half hour mark. Engine left it late. Matthew Clark getting the leveller just past the hour mark and Stanley Moss bagged the winner with ten minutes left.

HRI Wellesbourne 1 Long Itchington 2
Two late strikes from Bradley Alibone and Andy McGuire taking the points here for the Long Men. Greg Eales on the mark for the veg boys with fifteen minutes left.

We move on to Division 2

Dynamo Leamington 9 Whitnash Town AFC 2
A bit one sided here . A haul each for Ryan Woodward and Ash Rowley but Lee Watton had started it all off . Adam Fincham and Sion Humphreys with the Whitnash goals.

Heathcote Athletic 5 Princethorpe 7
Fastest goal of the day here and it was an own goal to set Princethorpe on their way. Sam Rose added a second eight minutes later and Joe Tresadern added a third ten minutes after that. Heathcote struck back on the half hour mark through Owen Davies. Davies struck again ten minutes into the second half to close the gap and ten minutes later Heathcote were level following a Joe Graham goal. It rained goals then as both sides scored twice between seventy and seventy three minutes! Graham with his second and Rob Miller for Heathcote, Tresadern with his second and Callum Carsley for Princethorpe. Carsley then struck twice in five minutes to seal the points for Princethorpe.

Leamington Hibernian Reserves 10 Ettington Rovers 1
Hib’s reserves continue where they left off putting Ettington to the sword. Jordan Robinson getting the Ettington consolation with fifteen minutes to go. Scott Hammond led the way with a haul. Harry Hartin helped himself to a hat-trick. George Bartlett grabbed a brace and Connor Mort rounded it all off with five minutes to go.

On to Division 3
Cubbington FC 1 Sporting Foresters 0

A tight game here and the only goal of the game coming from Jack Gibson with six minutes left to give Cubbington the points.

Hampton Magna 2 Kenilworth Wardens 1
Cameron Holden with the early strike for Wardens but Mark Hickey levelled for Magna on the half hour mark. Joe Williams with the solitary second half goal taking the points for Magna.

Real Barston 2 Kenilworth Royal Oak 1
All the goals in the first half here. William Harte giving Oak an early lead but a ten minute Sam Tomlinson brace turned the tide and Barston take the points.

Wellesbourne Wanderers 6 Kineton Sports and Social 3
A brace apiece for Joshua Kilbride and Aaron Mobley led the way for Wanderers. Elliot Durbin set them on their way after ten minutes. Joshua Duffin with the other with fifteen minutes to go. Alexander Mercer, Bryan Wilkins and Brayden Herdman with the Kineton Strikes.

We round off with Division 4

Bowling Green 1 Balsall and Berkswell 0
A tight one here and it was a very late Callum Stoutt goal that took the points for Bowling green.

Southam Sporting 1 Stockton 3
Malachy Rose with a brace for Stockton and Josh Tolley with the third. Joshua Thomas with the Sporting reply just before the hour mark.

The Builders 1 Wellesbourne Wanderers Reserves 3
A first away win for Wanderers reserves here as they met fellow new boys Builders. Dylan Cook, and a brace from Dawid Peplkinski doing the damage. Robson Corr with the late consolation for the Builders.
