The Latest Weekly round-up

This weeks round-up with results and scorers.

Our weekly round-up for Sunday 30 September 2018 starts as usual with the Cup Competitions and this week that means the Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 2018-19 - Round 2

Leamington FC Veterans 12 (twelve) Princethorpe 4
The higher Division side took no prisoners here as Ross Jackson led the way with 6 goals, Butho Sibanda grabbed a hat-trick, young Jimmy Quinlan a brace and the odd one from Mark Sheffield . Princethorpe found time to net 4 of their own.

We move on to League Action and starting as usual in Division 1
AFC Warwick 2 Khalsa 3

It was a tight one here. 1-1 at half time but Khalsa then grabbed a couple to pull ahead and AFC snatched a late consolation at the end. Matt Edwards and Daniel Nash on target for AFC. Khalsa had a brace from Luke Lindsay and the odd one from Jamie Hancox to thank for the points.

Leamington Hibernians 4 Lillington Juniors 2
Hibs in control here as Ashley Kitchen, Carl Smedley , Jack Marsden and Lance Clarke shared the goals.

On to Division 2
Heathcote Athletic 4 HRI Wellesbourne 1

HRI Took the lead here through Dale Francis, but they faded in the second half. Two quick goals from Chris Collier and Joe Graham in a three minute spell turned the game and John Aston and James Bye struck to finish off the Veg boys.


Khalsa Reserves 0 Real Barston 5

Barston still flying high following their Cup final victory on Thursday evening continued their good form here. Sion Ellis , James Nevens, and a brace from Matthew Gillett doing the damage.

Long Itchington 1 Radford Albion 3

Jack Dent got the villagers back in it after James Marshall had put the visitors ahead. The second half belonged to Radford as Daniel Burden and Paul Murray netted to take the points home and keep Radford at the top of the table.

On to Division 3
Bishops Tachbrook FC 2 Harbury 2

A close one here as Alister Wrist put Tachbrook ahead only for Ryan Butler to level 5 minutes later. The second half followed the same script. Lewis Christian gave Tachbrook the lead again only for Andy Cahill to level again after another five minutes.

Castle Rangers 1 Chadwick End 1
Another tight one here but the goals were a distance apart. Niall Grace had put Chadwick ahead in the 8th minute. Jake Allies-Proctor left it till the 66th minute for his equaliser from the penalty spot.

Hampton Magna 2 Warwick Printing 1
Magna maintain top slot with 3 valuable points against the Printers. A Travis Lea brace was enough, with Josh Tiff getting the Printers strike.

On to Division 4
Chadwick End Reserves 5 Leamington Hibs Reserves 0
Chadwick ground out the win here as Hibs battled in the first half but faded badly. A Danny Chinn brace , Thomas Gold and penalties from Robert James and Marquebieille Valentin doing the damage.

HRI Wellesbourne Reserves 0 Joiners Arms 3
It’s been a while coming, but Joiners have a win and three points in the bag. Maciej Radziszewski, Elton Dias and Paulo Mota grabbing the glory here.

Lillington Juniors Reserves 1 Whitnash United 2
Juniors took the lead here but Whitnash left it late and cashed in with goals from Jordan Evetts and Abhishek Paul to thank for the points. Reece Robbins on target for Lillington.

Stockton 1 Stockton United 4
Danny Ward on target for Stockton, but United had a brace from Will Wall and strikes from Ryan Ward and Dan Cornes to thanks for the points in this very local derby.

Warwick Boar 1 Blackdown 3
James Williams pulled one back for Boar after Adam Hughes and Cameron Coutts had put Blackdown ahead. Scott Hughes wrapped it up with a 56th minute strike.
