All the results and goals from this weeks games

Weekly Round-up for Sunday 13 October 2019 and despite the downpour overnight we still had some games on. And we start as usual with the Cup games.

The Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 2019-20 - Round 1

Bishops Itchington 3 Long Itchington 1

Bishops pitch was unplayable so the tie was switched to Long Itchington. The Division 2 Table Toppers Long Itchington up against Division 1 Bishops and it was no easy job. Bishops had done the hard work inside 35 minutes and were
3 – 0 up through Adam Miles, Johnny Adair and Jordan Gill. It stayed that way until just short of the hour when Sam Crawford pulled one back but it was not enough and Bishops progress into Round 2.


Kineton S&SC 9 (nine) HRI Wellesbourne Reserves 1

Division 1 meets Division 4 here and the scoreline shows. Hat- tricks each for Connol Farrel and James Keller. Joshua Wyatt , Liam Naven-Jones and Jordan Coton also getting onto the scoresheet. James Smith getting the veg boys consolation with 20 minutes to go. Kineton progress into the next round.

Leamington Hibernians 8 (eight) Castle Rangers 1

Another Division 1 team against a Division 4 side here and again no giant killing. Ash Kitchen started the ball rolling on 8 minutes and the Hibs train didn’t stop. David Jones and Connor Carson also added before half time. Rangers were then truly put to the sword in the second half as Carson completed his hat-trick. Kitchen and Jones grabbed their seconds and Kurt Parsons rounded it off in the 85th minute. George Green gave Rangers their only high point with a 66th minute consolation goal. Hibs go into the next round.


Princethorpe 1 Stockton 0

Div 3 v Div 4 here and it was a close one. The only goal of the game coming from Jake Allies-Proctor just before half time. It was enough to see Princethorpe through to the next round.

Radford Albion 3 AFC Warwick 4

Division 2 entertaining Division 1 here, and it was entertaining. Radford took the lead through Luke Warby shortly before half time. AFC came out of the blocks running at the start of the second half, and within 7 minutes of the re-start had a brace from John Bawn to thank for a 1 – 2 lead. Six minutes later and Matty Saunders made it 1 – 3. Seven minutes after that Henry Oyenuga added a fourth. Cue the Radford fight back. James Marshall stuck one away on 78 minutes, followed by Sion Humphries on 88minutes to make the last few minutes tense. AFC held on to go through into the next round.

Snitterfield 1 Khalsa 5

Bottom of Division 3 Snitterfield hosted Division 1 Khalsa here and it went to form. Oliver Manoochehri with the Snitterfield strike. Khalsa shared the goals around through strikes from a Luke Lindsay brace , David Benton , Sukhraj Nijjar and Stuart Cooper. Khalsa go into the hat for the next round.

VTS Warwick 0 Leamington FC Vets 10 (ten)

VTS from Division 3 were put to the sword here as the Vet’s from Division 1 started where they intended to finish. Second fastest goal of the day from Jayden Constable on 3 minutes set the tone. It was 0 – 8 before half time. Constable had a hat-trick. Ross Jackson had piled in his own hat-trick in a 16 minute spell. Andrew McGuire and David Care also on the sheet. The second half slowed down and the Vet’s only scored twice more. Jackson grabbed a fourth and a minute later Michael Blackstock popped one in. That’s how it finished. The Vet’s go into the next round.

Westlea Wanderers 4 Engine FC 1

Division 1 against Division 3 here and this one also went to form. Mathew Wright stung the Div 1 leaders with a 5th minute strike to put Engine ahead. It came off the tracks then as Westlea took control and scored 4 without reply through Ciaran Houston, Adam Knight, Craig Watkin and Shae O'Loughlin . Westlea progress.


We move on to League action and we have 2 fixtures from Division 4

Bishops Tachbrook Reserves 11 (eleven) Sands United 2

Sands were off to a flyer with Ryan Rooney getting fastest goal of the day on 2 minutes. James Welsby added a second on 26 minutes but Tachbrook were in command. Craig Williams grabbed a hat-trick . Matthew Goodwin, Louis Todd and Cory Turner got a brace apiece. Cory Turner, Jay Reading and Daniel Todd scored the others.


Whitnash United 3 Napton 0

Whitnash move up to Third in the table thanks to strikes from Kyle Needham , Rhys Bufton and Rueben Bastos.

Charity Cheques Presented The Tracey Thomas Leamington and District Sunday League held it's October Council of Clubs meeting last night. Charity Cheques were presented to Cancer Research UK AND Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth MS Society.
