Sunday 28 April 2019
We start our weekly round-up with the Division 4 Cup Final sponsored by Spa Trophies

Chadwick End Reserves 0 Leamington Hibernians Reserves 3.
Fastest goal of the day and probably the Season here as Liam Bullimore put Hibs in front straight from the Kick off in 15 seconds. A neat volley past the Chadwick keeper. It was a scrappy affair and despite some neat football from both sides the score remained at 1- nil until the 89th minute when Hibs were awarded a Penalty after a crunching tackle in the box. Luke Marriott stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way. Chadwick pushed on at the re-start and paid the price as Bullimore seized onto a long ball over the top to race through and slot calmly past the advancing Chadwick keeper.
Gary Vella Chairman of Racing Warwick presented the Trophy and Awards, which was very gracious following yesterday’s success which sees Racing Warwick promoted.

We move on to League action now and start as usual with Division 1

Bishops Itchington 4 Leamington Hibs 1
Three valuable points for Bishops here as Hibs lose ground on the Title chase. Hibs went in front through Jack Marsden on 15 minutes, but Joel Bennett levelled within 5 minutes. The second half belonged to Bishops as they struck three times without reply through Andy Yeates, Tom O'Callaghan and Johnny Adair . Bishops have games in hand against the top two but cannot afford to drop any points.

We move on to Division 2

Dynamo Leamington 2 Radford Albion 5
The first half was a tight affair and a solitary Luke Upton goal for Radford separated the teams at Half Time. The second half goal fest saw Edward Smith pull Dynamo level on 53 minutes, then a minute later Daniel Burden put Albion back in front. Luke Upton grabbed his second and Houghton Paul also added to give Albion a three goal advantage. Aaron Rowley popped up with 10 minutes to go giving Dynamo hope, but 2 minutes later Adrian Reeves finished it all off to complete the Albion victory.

Leamington FC Veterans 3 Ettington Rovers 1
The Vets were too strong here for Ettington as Dan Brown , Paul Lee and Philip Davies were the Vets marksmen. Glen Matthew with the late Ettington consolation from the penalty spot.

Real Barston 0 Kineton S&SC 3
Kineton are still in Top spot but it was late stuff here. Barston had kept them at bay until the 72nd minute when James Mair popped up to put Kineton ahead. James Keller made it two with 7 minutes to go and then a stoppage time Penalty from Connoll Furrell finished it off. HRI can still spoil the party, it’s not over yet!

We move on to Division 3

Chadwick End 1 Bishops Tachbrook FC 4
Champions elect Tachbrook maintained their unbeaten run here. A brace from Adam Knight, Jamie Rossiter and Daniel Bates getting the others.

Hampton Magna 1 Castle Rangers 0
Magna move up into third spot thanks to a very late Paul Rose goal with 5 minutes left on the clock. With games in hand Magna could still make Runners Up Spot.

Warwick Printing 0 VTS Warwick 0
A rare Nil –Nil Sunday morning here.

We finish as usual in Division 4

Stockton United 5 Warwick Boar 2
An early goal saw Stockton take the lead here but Lewis Wilson levelled just before half time when a cross from the left was sent goalwards, but the keepers save bounced loose and Wilson was quickest to react and ram the ball home from close range. Two quick goals early into the second half saw Stockton retake the lead and it was comfortable from then on. Macauley Easterlow got the second Boar goal but it was too little too late.
