Weekly Round Up. 28th January 2018

Latest Weekly roundup.

A few fixtures went down to the wet weather again. However we start this week with the Cup Competitions as usual. Leamington Referees' Association Andy Campbell Challenge Cup 17-18 - Preliminary Round
Khalsa Reserves 4 HRI Wellesbourne Reserves 0

Khalsa were too strong here for the veg boys. The Division 2 side had Sam Lambert leading the way with a hat trick. Andy Cahill grabbing the fourth on 60 minutes.

League Action now. And we start with Division 1.
HRI Wellesbourne 1 Bishops Itchington 1

Craig Setchell put the Veg boys ahead on 25 minutes, and all was looking on for an upset until Josh Turton popped up with an equaliser 5 minutes from time. Bishops 100% record comes to an end.

Khalsa 3 Leamington Hibs 4

This was a slow brewing affair but warmed up as the game went on. Luke Lindsay had put the Hibs in front after 5 minutes, and that’s how it stayed until just after half time when David Sweet stuck a second away. Mathew Wootton grabbed one back for Khalsa, but Josh Blake struck to make it 1-3. Khalsa dug deep and goals from David Benton and Luke Warby pulled it back to 3-3 only for Blake to pop up in the 92nd minute for the winner. Hibs move above Khalsa in the table.

Westlea Wanderers 3 Harbury Albion 1
Joseph Wright and Lewis Scott gave Westlea a two goal lead. Thomas O’Callaghan pulling one back before half time. Martin Hutchcox grabbed the third for Westlea on 59 minutes.

Division 2
Radford Albion 0 AFC Warwick 4

Radford held on here and it was only the last 25 minutes that saw AFC dominate. An Ashley Knights brace and singles from Ricky Barby and Daniel Gummery doing the damage. AFC have a clear lead at the top of Division 2.

Division 3
Grist Mill 2 Foresters Arms 5

Thomas Scott and Lewis Christian on target for the 9 man Millers, but Foresters were too strong in the end. Jack Rees , Jack Mancini and Scott Millar supporting a Roberto Ciuffini brace .

Hampton Magna 2 Chadwick End 1
Both teams are within striking distance of the top clubs and this was a tight one. Josh Tiff and JOE KEARNS on target for the Hampton lads, James McCarthy pulling one back for Chadwick .

Division 4
Kineton S&SC 3 Castle Rangers 5

Another mid table battle and again it was a close game . A James Keller strike on 11 minutes putting Kineton ahead. Paul Saunders replying on 20 minutes. Jamie Vadasz putting Kineton back in front only for Jonathon Capp to level three minutes later. A Timothy Jacob strike gave Rangers the lead, only for Liam Naven-Jones to make it 3 each. Two minutes later Jacob struck again to make it 3-4 and Conor Warburton fired in to make it 3 – 5 on 75 minutes.

Long Itchington 7 Joiners Arms 0

Joiners remain rooted after Long Itchington helped themselves here. Elliott Parasmo with a brace. Conor Bennett, Todd Howarth, Robert Chimes ,Michael Clement and Samuel Crawford getting the others.

Princethorpe 5 Stockton United 2

P Fraser leading the way with a brace. Charles Bush, Sam Rose and Sam Thompson on target for Princethorpe. Kody Neal and Will Wall on target for United.
