All the weekends highlights including the Division 1 Cup Final

Latest weekly round-up from Sunday 25 March 2018.
We start as usual with the Cup competitions and the First Silverware of the Season was decided today in the Anthony Eden Division 1 Cup, where the weather was at last pleasant to greet the crowd of supporters who made the trip to Stockton. We also have a full programme of League and Cup games now that the snow and rain appear to have gone at last.

Bishops Itchington 6 HRI Wellesbourne 1

HRI took the lead with a stunning Vitor Machedo free kick from 30 yards out, into the top corner, leaving Nathan Carro in the Bishops goal waving at fresh air! Bishops were sparked into life and within 10 minutes were ahead 2-1 through a Jason Bradshaw near post scramble and Joel Bennett from inside the six yard box. HRI continued to fight but the Bishops defence held firm.
Half Time Bishops Itchington 2 HRI Wellesbourne 1
The second half belonged to Bishops who started straight from the off. Josh Turton grabbed a hat-trick. The pick of which was a delightful free-kick curled around the wall neatly into the corner, delicately placed rather than smashed home. Jon Byrne got the other as HRI started to wilt in the latter stages.
