Weekly Round-up for Week 2 Sunday 8 September 2019.
We start with Division 1

AFC Warwick 1 Heathcote Athletic 1
A very late equaliser from Dan Morris gave AFC a share of the points here after Chris Collier had put Heathcote ahead in the first half.

Bishops Itchington 2 Leamington Hibs 5
Last Seasons Champions were put to the sword by Hibs who take an early lead in the Table. A Johnny Adair strike on 35 minutes had kept Bishops in contention but Hibs had taken control by the time Ryan Leahy struck home a 90th minute penalty to grab a consolation second goal. Connor Carson grabbed a brace with the fastest goal of the day on 5 minutes. Dave Jones, Wendel Moyo and Jack Marsden with the other Hibs goals.


Kineton S&SC 2 HRI Wellesbourne 4

This was a nip and tuck game until a goal fest in the last 10 minutes. Sam Mitchell had put the Veg boys ahead on 15 minutes, James Keller replying on 30 minutes. Dale Simmonds put the Veg boys back in front 5 minutes later and that’s how it stayed until the frantic last 10 minutes. Keller grabbed an 82nd minute equaliser, but Guy Allen struck twice in the last 4 minutes to steal the points back for the Veg boys who now sit behind Hibs at the Top of the Table on goal difference.


Westlea Wanderers 4 Khalsa 0

Westlea start this Season with a win. All done bar the shouting by Half time. Ciaran Houston, Henry Leaver and George Ayley with the First half goals.
Joe Wright wrapped it up with a last minute strike.

We move on to Division 2

Chadwick End 0 Long Itchington 6
A fine display by Sam Crawford here as he bagged four for himself. Elliott Parasmo started it off in the 9th minute. Crawford then stuck 4 away in a 24 minute spell before half time. Oscar Rose popped up with 2 minutes to go to slot home and round it off.


Khalsa Reserves 2 Ettington Rovers 2

A tight one here but Khalsa have a last minute strike from Gurdeep Dulay to thanks for their point. Sukhraj Heer had put Khalsa ahead inside 10 minutes, but strikes from Oliver Stephens and Chris Oakes had put Ettington in front by 21 minutes. The points looked to be heading Ettington’s way until Dulay stunned the Rovers with his late finish.


Lillington Juniors 2 Hampton Magna 2

Another tight one here. Dale Francis put the Juniors ahead. Tom Wyatt brought things level late into the second half, but Corey Edwards restored the Juniors advantage 4 minutes later. Wyatt popped up 6 minutes after that to get his brace and give Magna a share of the points.

Radford Albion 4 Bishops Tachbrook 4
A Ding Dong battle here which saw Albion 4 – 1 up after the first 45 minutes and Tachbrook grabbed 3 goals in a 15 minute spell to take a point. A Luke Swinson brace with the others from Tom Nicholls and Brodie Cullinan for Albion. Craig Williams with a brace for Tachbrook alongside Liam Rossiter and Shamir Entezar .


On to Division 3

Dynamo Leamington 6 VTS Warwick 0
With the half-time score at 0-0, VTS were in the hunt until the second half when Dynamo took control. Joe Gomez started the ball rolling just after half-time after good work from Aaron Rowley. As VTS tired, Ash Rowley started to find more space, and within twenty minutes had bagged a hat-trick. His brother Aaron also grabbed a goal, and having provided three assists, Bert Ciuffini, playing against his former club, also got on the score-sheet.

Engine FC 1 Liberal Club C 1
The second fastest goal of the day here for Steven Evans on 7 minutes to put the Engine ahead. Jake Murphy leveled before half time and that’s how it stayed.


Leamington Hibs Res 5 Snitterfield 1

Hibs reserves continued their good form from last Season putting new boys Snitterfield to the sword here. Liam Bullimore grabbed a hat-trick and Mitchell Williams a brace. Matt Green with the Snitterfield consolation.

Warwick Printing 3 Chadwick End Reserves 3
Samuel Wimbush , Sam Jones and Terry Bayliss with the Printers goals.


We finish with Division 4

Bishops Tachbrook Reserves 1 Warwickshire Police 2
Joe Schofield in the Tachbrook goal played a blinder here. Some great saves kept the young Tachbrook side in the hunt and they could easily have grabbed an equaliser towards the end. The Cops looked a threat going forward but Schofield with some help from the crossbar kept it tight. Dan Coxhead put the Cops ahead and Lee Owen made it 2 – 0 before half time. Tachbrook pulled one back early into the second half when a corner was cleared to the edge of the box and Cory Turner rifled home through the crowded area into the net. It was tense to the end but the Cops held on to take the points.


Foresters 1 Warwick Boar 3

Boar struck 3 in the first half and that was enough here. Jamie Hickey with the Foresters consolation. Marc Passey, Nicholas Lanau-Atkinson and Adam Edwards with the Boar goals.


HRI Wellesbourne Res 0 Sands United 0

The rare beast of a Sunday League Nil Nil draw.

Long Itchington Reserves 1 Stockton 2
The Long Men grabbed a late own goal to stay in this local Derby, but Stockton held on to take the points back to the Village. George Bousfield and Daniel Brown on target for Stockton.

Napton 2 Castle Rangers 1
New boys Napton have their first Home win under their belt, thanks to a late Christopher Watts brace. Lee Watton had put Rangers ahead in the first half but Napton recovered in the second half and Watts struck to take the points.
