The results and goals from this weekend.

Weekly Round up for Sunday 9 February 2020. Another weather disrupted weekend as Ciara swept across the Country. We still have a few fixtures remaining and we start as usual with the Cup Competitions and that means the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Supplementary Cup 2019-20 - Round 2

Dynamo Leamington 4 Napton 0

A brace apiece here for Aaron Rowley and Seb Burton as Dynamo see off the Napton challenge. Napton made them work for it but Dynamo kept it tight at the back and go into the hat for the next round.

Stockton 1 Bishops Tachbrook 4

George Neal put Stockton ahead on 23 minutes here, but the visitors had levelled before half time through Ryan Knotts. The second half was all one way as Bishops notched three without reply. Dean Pugh just after the re-start and a brace from Drew-Lewis Smith doing the damage. Tachbrook move into the next round.

We move on to League action now and we start in Division 2

Hampton Magna 4 Lillington Juniors 0

Magna had the work done in the first half and were 3 – 0 up by half-time through a Joseph Fisher hat-trick. The second half was not so one sided and a lone Tom Wyatt strike to make it 4 – 0 was the only second half goal. Magna are equal Top but have played more games, it’s still all to play for!

And we finish with Division 4

Warwickshire Police 3 Bishops Tachbrook Reserves 1

Fastest goals of the day here. Stephen Flavell with a fine strike into the bottom corner on 4 minutes put the Cops ahead, but Mathew Goodwin had it back to all square two minutes later racing through after a defensive mistake and slotting past the stranded keeper! It was a tight game and both sides had chances, but the first half yielded no more goals. The second half opened up more as the pitch cut up and the wind and rain got stronger. The deadlock was broken with only 6 minutes left on the clock, when a quick throw in down the left sent Marshall free and he fired home beating the Tachbrook keeper at his near post. A minute later and Nick Brunton raced through and his delicate chip shot went in off the inside of the far post. The Cops stay Top of the Table but the chasing pack all have games in hand. A good game to watch and could've gone either way.Well reffed by new boy Tom Hiney.
