Weekly Round-up for Sunday 6 January 2019.
We start this week with another one of our “Match of the Day” games. This one comes from the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Supplementary Cup 2018-19 - Preliminary Round

Stockton 4 Leamington FC Vets 0
This looked like a tough one here for Stockton from Division 4 against the Vets from Division 2. The Vets had a decent side out and Stockton were up against it for some spells. The visitors were punished when with 5 minutes left to half time Alex Boulden popped up to put Stockton ahead, and within 3 minutes Richard Davis had made it 2-0. There was plenty of fast flowing attacking football and goal mouth action at both ends, but it was all played in great spirit and it came as no surprise when Stockton extended their lead through Steven Deaming on 71 minutes. The scoring was ended after John Ahearne slotted home a 78th minute penalty to wrap things up. Stockton go into the next round as giant killers, and could there be a new name on the Supplemetary Cup trophy?

We continue our round-up as usual with the Cup Competitions. Starting with the Cancer Research UK Charity Invitation Cup 2018-19 - Round 2

Bishops Itchington 2 Westlea Wanderers 2
As expected this was a tight one and it went to penalties. Johnny Adair got a brace for Bishops but Joe Wright and Lewis Scott were also on target for Westlea.
Westlea Wanderers win 2 - 4 on penalties.

Albion had too much here for the Printers. Houghton Paul , Sion Humphreys and Jamie Lee taking Albion into the next round.

Ettington Rovers 7 Warwick Boar 1
A one sided affair here, but the Boar held it to 1-0 at half time. The onslaught started just into second half, that must’ve been some half time team talk ! Jason Peggram had got the pre-half time goal. Matthew Toms got a brace in 2 minutes, Carl Taylor added another brace in 12 minutes , Glen Matthew and George Keaney Got the others. Mark Hickey got the Boar consolation with a 58th minute penalty.

We move on to Division 2

Dynamo jump above Khalsa at the foot of the table.

David Jones pulled one back for Lillington but too late.

Whitnash United 2 Stockton Utd 2
A good result here for Whitnash and sees Stockton drop points in their battle at the top of the table. Abhishek Paul and Kyle Needham on target for Whitnash. Stockton scorers Will Wall and Jason Jones .

And Finally we wrap up with some outside Cup Action

Leamington Hibs First team were in Cup Action in the BCFA Sunday Cup,entertaining St Johns First team from Birmingham. The Brummies were not there to make up the numbers and it was a tight encounter. The second half became a real battle based around the Hibs penalty area but the lads held on despite the pressure. It ended all square 0-0 at full time. A game well reffed by Joe Archbold who had stepped in at late notice. So to penalty kicks. All square after the first five and so to sudden death. St Johns missed with their third extra kick. Hibs go through 8-7. On to the quarter finals. Well done Hibs.
