The latest weekly news

Plenty to report, with some mid-week fixtures included this week as we try to catch up on the backlog. The weather continues to play havoc as the Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup Final is also postponed.
So we start with Tuesday 24th April 2018 and we start with Division 2.

Radford Albion 3 Leek Wootton 0
Three valuable points for Albion here. Sion Humphreys , Daniel Burden and Jamie Lee getting the second half goals for the Albion.

Real Barston 2 Leamington FC Vets 1.
A Matthew Gillett brace was enough here as the Vets drop another 3 points and Barston are pushing hard for the runners up spot now that AFC Warwick are firmly in the driving seat to take the title.

Division 4
Barley Mow 4 Warwick Printing 1

A Ricardo Benjamin brace with Chris Young and Jon Crosthwaite on target for the Mowers who are clear at the Top of Division 4 but with teams chasing who have games in hand this is looking tight. Hayden Bennet with the Printers consolation.

Kineton S&SC 3 Long Itchington 0
Kineton exert their desire to push for the title by beating closest rivals Long Itch. A Calum Naven-Jones brace and James Keller doing the damage. With their games in hand Kineton are still up for top spot, The Long Men are also still in the hunt.

Stockton 2 Princethorpe 3

Princethorpe take second spot but with games in hand Kineton will be looking to spoil the show. Alexander Boulden and George Warrilow had made a game of it for Stockton but an 85th minute strike from Jack Fraser sealed the points for Princethorpe, who had a Charles Bush brace to thank for keeping them in contention.

We move on to Thursday 26 April 2018
Division 3
Foresters Arms 4 Hampton Magna 2.

A terrific game here. Two mid table sides giving no quarter. Jack Mancini grabbed a hat-trick but it was tight all the way. Jamie Barnes got the other as The Foresters took the points. Magna were always in with a shout and strikes from Ashley Turnbull and Josh Tiff kept them in the hunt.

So we move to Sunday 29 April 2018 and we start as usual in
Division 1
Radford Semele 4 Warwick Cavern 2

A mid table clash and Radford took the honours here. An Ian Groves brace with Seb Rockliffe and George Ayley getting the others. Joshua Shirley and Adam Hughes replying for Cavern.

Westlea Wanderers 3 Bishops Itchington 1
A Craig Watkin brace supporting a strike by Tom Friend on 2 minutes was enough here for Westlea to see off closest rivals Bishops who had Johnny Adair grab a consolation late on.

Division 2

Real Barston 0 Radford Albion 2
Sion Humphries and Paul Houghton turning the tables on Barston here. A great result for Albion looking to avoid relegation. Barston dropping points as they try to close on second spot in the league. AFC Warwick are odds on now for the Division 2 Title Barring a disaster!

Division 3
Chadwick End 4 Foresters Arms 5.

Ryan Helliker probably cannot believe his luck. He scores four yet still ends up losing as the Woodmen chop them down with five of their own. Jack Rees got himself a hat-trick, Jack Mancini and a Roberto Ciuffini strike on 88 minutes destroyed what should have been a great celebration for Helliker.

Ettington Rovers 3 Grist Mill 2
Grist Mill were unlucky not to snatch a point here. Jordan Lewis and a Matthew Toms brace were enough for Rovers. Lewis Christian and Jamie Rossiter on target for the Millers.

Royal Oak United 3 HRI Wellesbourne Reserves 1
The table toppers were made to work for this one, but were too strong in the end for the Veg men. The title is still up for grabs and Oak were made to fight all the way. Michael Glover , Sam Nutt and Wesley Klopper grabbed the goals for Oak, Andy Tomlin on target for the Veg Boys.

Real Barston 0 Radford Albion 2

Sion Humphries and Paul Houghton turning the tables on Barston here.

Division 4
Barley Mow 2 Kineton S&SC 5

Kineton turned on the style here and gave table toppers Barley Mow something to think about. As Kineton chase the Title, with games in hand, it’s turning into a thriller in Div 4. Connell Farrell grabbed a brace, James Keller and the Naven-Jones boys, Liam and Calum grabbed one each. This one is going to the wire!

Lillington Juniors Reserves 3 Warwick Printing 3

A tremendous game here. Lillington stormed into a 3-0 lead and it was looking bad for the Printers, but a second half recovery saw the Printers battle back and grab a point with a storming recovery of their own. A real credit to the League this one! Hayden Barnett , Terry Bayliss and an own goal for the Printers.

Stockton United 2 Princethorpe 3.

Mitchell Coleman and Dan Cornes strikes not enough here as Princethorpe push for Honours. Joshua Cooke and a brace from Charles Bush doing the damage.
