Highlights from this weeks action.

A minutes silence was held before games this weekend in memory of Arnold Rouse who sadly passed away before Christmas.

Plenty of games to report this week following the extended Christmas break. The Frost did cause a few games to be postponed but we start as usual with the Tracey Thomas Challenge Cup 17-18 - Round 4

Athletico Murphy’s 2 Warwick Cavern 2
Murphy's pushed Warwick Cavern all the way despite a Matty Saunders goal on 5 minutes giving Cavern a great start. David Jones and Roberto Ciurlia grabbed the goals for Athletico and a Stacey Ellis strike made it 2-2 at full time.
Warwick Cavern win 3 - 4 on penalties.

Bishops Itchington 8 Lillington Juniors 1
Bishops always in control here. A Joel Bennett hat trick, a brace each for Josh Turton and Johnny Adair, with Mark Hickey getting the Lillington consolation.

Warwick Printing 1 Long Itchington 2

The Printers took the lead with a Connor Kenny strike on 30 minutes, but the party was spoiled by a Samuel Crawford brace in the last 15 minutes.

Westlea Wanderers 7 Radford Semele 0
Josh Cole ruled the roost here, with 2 goals in each half, with support from Lewis Scott, Chris Hanrahan and Craig Watkin.

Castle Rangers 1 Real Barston 4
Samuel Chapman started the scoring on 20 minutes, followed by a Matthew Gillett brace , Daniel Zoka fnished it off on 65 minutes.

Stockton United 1 Ettington Rovers 4
Mathew Toms put Ettington into the driving seat on 6 minutes. Glenn Mathew made it 2 just before half time. Two goals in the last 10 minutes from Jason Peggram and Jordan Lewis made sure.

Radford Albion 3 AFC Warwick 0
A big surprise here as AFC sitting unbeaten at the top of Div 2 are rolled over by mid table Albion. Paul Murray grabbing a brace with Brody Cullinan getting the other.

We move on to League Action now and with no games on in Division 1 we start in Division 2

Khalsa Reserves 2 Dynamo Leamington 2
Khalsa came from behind to lead 2-1 but a Ryan Woodward strike with 4 minutes to go split the points. Sam Lambert and Rheece Cleary on the mark for Khalsa . Andrew McGuire grabbing the early Dynamo strike.

Mid-Warwickshire Police 2 Leek Wootton 2
A game of two halves here. The Cops were 2 up at half time and could’ve had more. The second half belonged to the villagers who might’ve nicked it at the end. Lee Owen got both goals for the boys in Blue.

Division 3

Chadwick End 3 Hampton Magna 2
A close battle here between two mid table sides. Calvin Moore and Martin Byrne putting Chadwick ahead. Ashley Turnbull pulled one back for Magna , but Niall Grace popped up to restore the two goal advantage. Wendel Moyo then made it an interesting last 10 minutes giving Magna some hope but Chadwick held on for the points.

Division 4
Joiners Arms 0 Whitnash United 6

Joiners stay rooted at the bottom of the table. Alan Robinson started the rot on 3 minutes going on to score 4. Drew Smith and Liam Collins getting the others.

Princethorpe 5 Kineton S&SC 2

An amazing game here where if you blinked in the last 4 minutes you missed a goal! The first half remained goal less, but Callum Carsley stuck one in for Princethorpe within 2 minutes of the re-start. Rhys Lyne equalised for Kineton on 66 minutes. 4 minutes later Carsley struck again to make it 2-1 to Princethorpe, followed by Charlie Bush on 87 minutes to make it 3-1. Within a minute James Shutt struck for Kineton 3—2. ! On 90 minutes Carsley got his hat trick, and then on 91 minutes Bush grabbed his second. Princethorpe maintain the pressure at the top of the table .
