Cancer Research UK - Supplementary Cup Final

By Rob Dent

Bishops Itchington 5 - 2 Ettington Rovers

A sunny afternoon in Stockton saw a very competitive game that was closer than the score suggested.

Ettington took an early lead through Matthew Toms, but Bishops stormed back to lead 3-1 at half time through Jonny Byrne, Johnny Adair and Ryan Leahy.

Jason Bradshaw converted a penalty to make it four just after half time, but, Ettington kept the game alive when they scored again through Valentin Navarro after Carl Taylor’s penalty was initially saved by Rob Herdman. However, the result was secured in the last few minutes after Joel Bennett came off the bench to add the fifth and settle any nerves for Bishops.
