HRI Wellesbourne and Midland Rangers battled out a topsy turvey Division 2 Cup final at Stockton
Midland Rangers turned the tables with a stunning comeback from 0- 2 down just before half time to romp away with the Division 2 Cup.
A minutes silence was held before the game in memory of Tracey Thomas and two other Local footballers George Bates and Ollie Berry who passed away this week.
HRI took the lead when a defensive error allowed Sam Pye to nip in and slot home. HRI went 2 up when Sam Mitchell slotted home from the spot after a clumsy challenge in the box. With half time approaching Rangers woke up. Two very quick gosls from Danny Chinn and Luke Vuckovic brought Rangers level and the sides went in at half time level at 2-2.
Rangers started the second half as they finished the first, and with two more goals without reply held on comfortably to take the honours. Second half scorers for Rangers were : James williams and Steve Nollett.
The game was well reffed by Callum Fisk with Joseph Larkin and Lewis Paworth running the lines.
The Trophy was presented by Pete McNulty from PMC Financial Services who sponsor this Cup.
